The manufacturer is no longer in business so support is non-existent. I'm looking for a new PCI Express card with about 8 drives supported. I'm looking at Supermicro's AOC-SASLP-MV8 as it's almost exactly what I want. I don't need hardware raid (plan is to use software), have some SFF8087 SAS to 4 port SATA cables (which work great),and my MOBO has up to 3 PCI-E x16 slots that are open. Currently running Win Server 2008, but I'm considering Linux. Any suggestions for cheap/compatible cards?
