jollyrancher82
And you thought you would spam your spam on the forums? Maybe they should hire you.
kickarse
Dude you didn't have to block out the email addresses. Please don't edit my posts. I understand you are a mod but I am well within the scope of the forum rules...
cooper
The idea was to protect & serve. Feel free to change it back. I'll leave it alone. I just get a bit ichy when I see people posting email addresses, particularly those that don't match the ones they use for the actual forum. VaKo
I would and have done the same thing
angelictorment
I personally don't blame them for changing the email addresses. For one those other email accounts don't belong to you and I am sure the owners of them would not be to happy to receive attacks upon they're mail servers. Nor to have them advertised out like that. More companies are using different email addresses on a different server to filter out spam and to hopefully protect they're servers along with you the consumer (in this case you weren't though). If I was a mod here I probably 99.9% am sure I would have done the exact same thing.

Sparda
You just upgraded loads of ports on your FreeBSD box VaKo?
VaKo
Is there anything else to do with freeBSD? ;-)
Sparda
Leave it alone if it works, and only upgrade ports if there is a security vunrabilitys with a service it provides or you need the aditional functionality of an upgraded version? I don't know :P The only program I upgrade on my web server is Apache, thats becasue it's the only program that is open to the net and so it has to be kept up to date. MySQL, samba and all the other services are behind the hardware firewall and so do not need upgrading, I will upgrade them if I try to do some thing or use a program that relies on a later version of some thing, but thats just what I think :P
VaKo
I run portsnap off of a cron job, and do a portupgrade -a when I get mail about out of date ports. Seems to work, and I can't see a reason not to update it.
leetabix
It's when you see someone post a picture of their room with the wall full of pinned up newspaper-cutout style photos of the hak.5 crew that you have to start worrying...
Sparda
I think the real worrying is when some one moves to/from america to get closer/further to/from darren/wess/allie.
