rFayjW98ciLoNQLDZmFRKD Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 It may be conficting with your firewall (zonealarm) Quote
hakgipc Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 this happenes when you try and connect to ur own computer and make sure if u have a router port forward the ports if u can resoilve the issue try real vnc or ultra or anyother that u know of what i recomend is 1337vnc Quote
Sparda Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Asuming you only have one router, don't port farward unless you want to be able to connect to the VNC server from the internet. If, However, you do wish to connect from the internet it is recommended that you use SSH tunneling or at least use UltraVNC with it's strongest key and a very strong password (asuming you are using windows if you are using Linux/BSD you have to use a SSH tunnel). dirty D Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 thats what tightvnc does when you connect to yourself on windows youre not supposed to, connect from somewhere else. Quote
