Bought off inter retail edge for $200 i was going to get the 160gig ssd too for $219 but meh save up a bit; they always have great deals. Quote

digip Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 My only suggestion is to check the mobo and see if there is a better option/brand. From reading reviews on that specific board, lots of DOA's and manufacturing defects common among different buyers, like bent pins and damaged sockets for the CPU. From the reviews, it seems an RMA on that won't be covered if they decide to say it was you who damaged it, but multiple people have had the same manufacturing defects for the same board, so we know its not 100% user error upon installations. Here is the results of my first build Specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-970 $200 PSU: CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W $60 GPU:ASUS ENGTX460 $149 MOBO: ASUS Sabertooth X58 $199 RAM: Gold XTC 6GB DDR3-1333 $75 Case: Utra (got from Friend idk link to it) Free HD: 2x 80gig Samsung sata 3g/s hd (got from friend too) free (will be replacing with Intel X25-M Mainstream SSD $200) All in all put around $685 into the computer and after ssd will be $885.
