Lcn_BadWolf Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 When logging onto public wifi can inSSIDer be used to quickly spot rough networks and possible pineapple use? Quote
Mr-Protocol Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 inSSIDer is supposed to be used to find access points near by. You do not need to connect to a network to use it. You are confusing two things with rogue (i think "rough") networks and what the pineapple does. The pineapple replicates the SSID of whatever the computer is probing for. Quote
Infiltrator Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 (edited) I think InSSIder main purpose is to troubleshoot wireless signals issues. If you want to get someone to connect to your wireless use Pineapple instead. What is InSSider http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider What is Pineapple http://revision3.com/hak5/pineapples Edited December 22, 2010 by Infiltrator Quote
