Jamo Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 In movies and in tv-series people zoom into some part of video, like cctv tape and see only that part. So they just choose some part of video and zoom to it. Is it really possible. If, how can I do it. Im using ubuntu 10.10 Quote
Mr-Protocol Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 You can zoom your screen in Ubuntu to a portion of it. That is about all you got. Keep in mind... it's hollywood. Quote
Infiltrator Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Yeah I always wondered it myself too. Theoretically speaking I don't think its possible. You should know that most of the things, we see in films its not entirely possible. Hollywood always throws some special effects to make us believe its real. The only theory I can think of, is they somehow have shot that scene at different angles and then with the aid of a software embedded together, a bit like Microsoft Panorama Stitcher where you can create a picture in 3D. Jamo Posted December 19, 2010 Author Posted December 19, 2010 Yea I thought so, that its hollywood. But I just wondered if it can be done in reality. Quote
unasoto Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Zooming in a movie is realy easy look at VLC under the video/zoom there's 1/4, 1/2, original and double size. now when you double the size the quality goes to hell Quote
