Jamo Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) Hi im thinking for buying wireless router. I have come up with 2 products and I cant decide which one to buy. Products are: Asus RT-N16 and NetGear WNDR3700 Asus comes with -3 antennas -Broadcom4718A -123Mb ram -32Mb flash. -2 usb ports -supports dd-wrt Netgear comes with -internal antenna -Atheros chip -2.4 or 5Ghz -64Mb ram, -8Mb Flash -USB port -supports dd-wrt So which one seems better, any other products? Is there any need to have support for 5ghz, I currently have no devices computable with it. Atheros or Broadcom. C'mon, Im getting it for Christmas present so Im in a hurry. Any thoughts, anything... 555 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 The first one looks better imo, I like the alfa AP's, also it is good to have the external antenna incase you want to upgrade it for better signal strength. Quote

It seems to be better, tha asus one, but it comes with broadcom chip, so I'm not sure weather it's a bad thing or not. Quote
