BeAMan Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I want to know what Polygons Per Second is all about. I did a google search, but it mostly showed pages talking about how it could be calculated. I want to know what it is! Quote
Sparda Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 It's the number of polygons per second? At a guess, the missing context is processing power. Thus, the number of polygons per second will be relational to the speed of a computer. Quote
BattZ Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Kinda sounds like gpu, how many polygons per second it can load or something. But this is the first time hearing it for me. =P Quote
Sparda Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Computing power is generally measured in FLOPS (the number floating point operations a processor or series of parallel processors can perform per second), this is a less meaningful benchmark when measuring the performance of a computer for graphical purposes.
