ShivalWolf
Has anyone attempted to attach a GPS unit to the Fon. There's gpsd and other required packages I just need to work out attaching the GPS. Going by the schematics there is no USB host support (though i may have missed it) I know a serial port can be wired in but I can't seem to find a serial based GPS unit. If anyone knows where i might find a serial GPS please let me know. I should have gotten 2 of these little things.
digininja
Get a Fon2 which has a built in USB port, that would make things a lot easier.

ShivalWolf
I Love hardware hacks. Before i even powered this thing up I cracked it open and wired in a usb cable. Yes i know basic but it lets me power the thing(i had no AA batteries or US to AU converters.

digininja
yes it is. The Fon+ went to different connector and 7(ish) volts but they came back to the normal Fon 5v for the Fon2

SamBellamy
Are you guys talking about the FON2 or FON2N? I am on the hunt for the FON2 but have been unable to locate one for some time. The FON2N is a no-go item. If you guys know where to locate a FON2, shoot me a private message. I need to buy a few.
