G-Stress
I'm looking to setup a "guest" AP and been looking at possibly using Untangle or PFSense. My question is, I know I can set usernames and passwords locally. What I want to do is like say you goto a coffee shop and their running a wifi service you have to create your own account. How can I setup a captive portal where the user's will have to create their own accounts?
Infiltrator
I think you will have to design some kind of web interface, where it can interact with a backend (database) and from there users will be able to sign up and use their own sign-in accounts in order to access internet. Also you will need a Radius server, that will do all the users authentication before anyone is allowed to surf the net. I did some research in Google and found some useful links that could help you get started. http://www.google.com.au/#sclient=psy&...370bdd54c3facee Edited October 10, 2010 by Infiltrator
