digip
is it unusual for a year and 4 month old toshiba laptop to have 2 or three dead pixels? Ive got a laptop thats over 4 years old and NO dead pixels. Did you hit the screen in any way with something? Press on it or anything like that. It must have gotten damaged somehow. My TV on the other hand has a dead pixel, but thats cause my 2 yr old hit it with her sippy cup. Edited September 11, 2010 by digip
Infiltrator
Some monitors/lcd may show this symptoms earlier, if used under extreme conditions. One of my 22 inches Asus screen is totally pixeled, only had it for 2.5 years and its now virtually difficult to stare at it. It hasn't been hit or stricken by any object or person. It just happened for no apparent reason.
Sparda
My absolute rubbish 4 year old laptop which has a big scratch on the screen where a guitar hero controller was dropped on it has no dead pixels.
