School Network | Ports Blocked | Vpn?

Hi

We recently got new laptops from our school. The problem is that the internet on the school blocks kinda everything you need to play online. Only program I've got to work is Skype.

Sometimes we have an hour off and it would be fun to play online, or at least at lan with friends.

What is the easiest way to do this? Do you have to make a VPN on one computer and let everybody connect to that one? (Outside the school network).

Thanks

You will need to have a VPN server set up on the outside of the school of course.

Secondly you will probably have to change the current VPN port settings in case it gets blocked by the school firewall, to something like 80 or 443.

These ports by default are always unblocked/open by the school's firewall.

Then you will need a software like Putty to connect to the VPN server.

You can easily bypass all the geo-restrictions with VPN. Since proxy goes MIA, the only alternative left for you to consider is a VPN as it is easily compatible with all IOS and android devices. Basically, A VPN is much more sophisticated Internet liberation tool as compared to a proxy. So, firstly, it won’t be easy for your network management personnel to hinder its operations. Secondly, a VPN is much more secure as compared to a proxy. A VPN not only helps you unblock everything at school; but, it also enhances your security and protects your data from unauthorized access.

Based on VPN’s performance and users’ feedback, I found the list of 5 best VPNs to unblock everything at school.
