Truly _EVERYTHING_ is expensive with Fiber, isn't it?

For the average budget, yes. But once cat-6 replaces cat-5 consumerly and fiber starts being developed by more companies, the prices will lower (basic economics). For the average user, cat-6 will do the trick. For someone who's running mutiple servers, voip, etc (like metatron's kick-ass set-up) then fiber would be almost necessary to handle much data.

I need 10Gbps and I can get 24-Core Fibre Optic Multimode OM3 50/125 Tight-Buffer Cable at a relatively low cost (You have to buy in bulk of at least 200m to get a good price).

Damn, I'll stick with cat-6. Streams all of my audio/video files just fine.
