Mr-Protocol
I know Darren is fond of his Untangle at the moment. And I like the fact that it has a GUI and is pretty easy to configure. What I don't like is the pay addons that are basically just adding iptables or routes to the OS. ZeroShell is what I am playing with now. It has a web interface and SSH. It has lots of features free and built in. http://www.zeroshell.net/eng/ I will be looking at the load balancing with WAN failover.
beakmyn
Pretty but I still prefer Pfsense since it's got a larger support audience and a bit further along in development. Edited July 9, 2010 by beakmyn
IOSys
ebox http://www.ebox-platform.com/ has all the things that are still missing in zeroshell .. And then some.. In fact, it may even be a bit to much if you "just" want a good router-distro ..
Mr-Protocol
Good stuff. I will have to take a look at PFsense and eBox when I get home. Thanks for the input.
h3%5kr3w
Ever looked at Vyatta? If you know Cisco, well.. you pretty much know Vyatta (for the most part) and it's FREE! Check it out. It's pretty nice however I have only tinkered with it in a V-box client http://www.vyatta.com/
