Netshroud Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 What's the KEY_ constant for this key? (Large image, but I couldn't quickly find a decent smaller one) Quote

Netshroud Posted April 18, 2010 Author Posted April 18, 2010 Not quite. For example, on my Vista box, I opened the Start menu, and typed "command prompt". The key I mentioned in the OP gives me the context menu of the Command Prompt shortcut. Shift+F10 gives me the context menu of the search text box. Quote

I believe this is what exactly you want to do. Quote

H@L0_F00 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I'm running Win7 and Alt+C doesn't auto-accept the UAC. Is the key-combo different for Windows 7? Also, we should use Ctrl+Esc to bring up the Start menu because it's possible to disable the Windows key completely, but Ctrl+Esc still works. Quote
Netshroud Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 I think in Windows 7 it's ALT+Y. Left Arrow + Enter key should work on both, though. Quote
H@L0_F00 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Yeah, Alt+Y works, but Left-arrow and Enter should be used. Quote

Netshroud Posted May 11, 2010 Author Posted May 11, 2010 The Ubuntu Server installer registers it as 127. Now I'm confused. Quote
Paul Stoffregen Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 There are ways to capture a log of all USB communication. The best (but expensive) is using a protocol analyzer like the Beagle 12 from Total Phase. I have one right here, and if that keyboard were here I could just plug it in, start a capture, and press the key. I have not personally used any of the software approaches that claim to capture USB packet logs. But they are out there. Maybe you could try using one of those? Quote
Netshroud Posted May 23, 2010 Author Posted May 23, 2010 Nothing mentioned here or via google seems to work: 127, 118, 0xA4 and 135. I've tried it as a normal button, as well as a modifier, but neither work. Quote
Zimmer Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Could it be a different key based on when position it is at on the keyboard (like on my laptop it is up top by prin scrn but on a standard keyboard it is usually at the bottom in between alt and ctrl)? Quote
