frankpintosr
OK all you international travellers! I am going to europe for the first time, i want to be able to call back to the US and receive calls on a mobile phone with minimal charges. What have you guys done for this? I have a Vonage line for home number, Verizon Wirereless is my cell carrier. I have the Touch Pro 2, which is global phone. Got the SIM unlock code from Verizon and tried a T-Mobile SIM in it, works fine. Not sure if this will be helpful or not. Thanks in advance! VaKo
Get a local SIM with a data plan and use a US SIP service to call US numbers. Otherwise your either paying roaming chargers or international call charges, which depending on the length of time you want to spend on the phone might be expensive. You can also get Skype for WinMob, but you will have to track down the relevant cab files as the download is no longer available on there site, try XDA Developers or similar.
