7h3kk1d
I have cox cable internet and was thinking of renting a vps somewhere and was wondering if it would be possible to use a dd-wrt router to tunnel certain traffic through the vps in order to have encrypted traffic such as torrents, irc, ftp etc.

Infiltrator
I'm presuming I should just forward ports on my computer then. Port forwarding should work just fine. Or port triggering which is another method routers use to forward packets to a particular destination. Now if you want to encrypt the traffic, you could use something like OpenVPN. http://www.openvpn.net/ Edited April 11, 2010 by Infiltrator
