troy7548
I was wondering if anyone could hepl me with a problem? I was going to start doing some wardriving to waste time my setup so far is 1. GPS - Garman handheld etrex 2. Laptop - dell xps 1530 3. Wireless card - Alfa 500mw now for the help part, I was going to use Kismet or some program along those lines but was wondering what software would combine the GPS and wireless acsess points onto a map ex. google maps or anything that would show satelite images. I did not know if this is done threw kismet or some other 3rd party software.

Cthobs
If you run kismet with mysql in the background, you can run gpsdrive at the same time and as Kismet drops APs into the db, gpsdrive will mark them on your map in real time. Throw in Festival and you can have it read off SSIDs as it finds them.
Charles
That sounds like the ultimate wardriving tool. :D

moonlit
NetStumbler used to be the weapon of choice I think, but these days you'll find InSSIDer to be more suitable, much more up to date and support more devices. Edit: As a bonus I should probably mention WiFiFoFum for Windows Mobile (and other mobile platforms too). Basically the same deal, but in pocket form.
