sporanox Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 I am trying to scan a subnet and send a message out to the lcd displays on all of the HP LCD printers, such as merry xmas. Of course the irongeek has developed some code, but I also found this link http://www.matt-barrett.com/2009/09/network-printer-hack/ Something in the code does not work, of which I do not know. I have tested it on two different computers with no success. Any ideas or help? Thanks, spornaox Quote

operat0r_001 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Hijetter.exe great for open HP printers :) * replace the error message with "please deposit $.25 to complete print job" Quote
sporanox Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 Hijetter.exe great for open HP printers :) * replace the error message with "please deposit $.25 to complete print job" No Error Message, the program just sits there upon activation. Yes, HiJetter is very good, but this is the next step where the entire subnet is scanned and then the message is output into the display. Quote
sporanox Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 It's scanning the subnet? I ran wireshark in the background and did not see any activity. I am running ubuntu 9.04 Quote
