moonlit Posted December 1, 2009 Share Posted December 1, 2009 Exactly the same as a regular HDD but with a different kind of cable connecting it to the machine. Sparda Posted December 2, 2009 Share Posted December 2, 2009 320GB * 1000 * 1000 * 1000 = 320000000000 bytes 320000000000 / 1024 / 1024 / 1024 = 298GB HD manufacturers use 1000 bytes as a kilobyte, computers use 1024 (an actual kilobyte) as a kilobyte.
