HarryO
Hi I have downloaded ophcrack onto a USB and used it to successfully boot from a Dell PC. It then does what it does and cracks passwords. However I also tried it on two other PCs both HP, one fairly new the other a couple of years old. Neither time did it work. It got so far then froze. I have previously used the live CD with success on the machines the USB version is having trouble with, but I need to test the USB version to see if it can bypass controls locking the CD drive. Can anyone think of a reason why that might be? Thanx

If the computer can boot from the memory stick then all security is lost. It freezing during boot doesn't mean other will.
max13
You could always use KonBoot instead....
