rlocone Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Hello All, I need a program that will defrag the hard drive before Windows loads. I though that Paragon Partition would do it but it doesn't. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks for your time & attention, Quote
NUSHOR Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 why before windows loads? i use defraggler but thats in windows,,, never had to do a defrag outside of windows really, Quote
VaKo Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 O&O Defrag will do it, how much use this is I don't know but the program itself is cheap to obtain. Quote
manuel Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 O&O Defrag 2000 FREE works great for normal defraging... when I tried their full product I was happy with it, just didn't really find a real need for it myself, so the free version is good enough for me. Quote
rlocone Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 Thanks guys. Windows wouldn't let me in. Sometimes ppl hdd are so fragmented that you don't get the welcome screen or logging in takes yrs. Doing a defrag before Windows loads does the trick. Quote
ILikeBacon Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I know you've resolved the issue now, but wasn't there a defrag program based on one of the linux distros that you could run as a LiveCD before Windows loaded? I can't remember the name of it now. I wonder if anyone else can remember what I mean. Quote
