BlueWyvern
So here's the deal, I have my main computer Running Windows 7 RC1 and VMWare Player I have created two nearly identical virtual machines and they are both running Kubuntu with the same packages installed. The only Difference in the two is one is using a pre-allocated vmdk and the other is not. Here's the issue, be it samba, FTP, SFTP, whatever! When I upload files to the machine I get around 40kb/s but when I turn around and download them back I get upwards of 8MB/s. It makes no sense, also the only other factor I think might matter is that I have the virtual NIC set up in Bridged Mode so I can ssh in to whichever of these is running. Any Ideas?
