With regard to routers and what not, you could put the PS3 in the DMZ, but that's asking for trouble, I suggest you just forward the ports COD4 wants, which are TCP: 80, 443, 5223, 1070-1080 UDP: 3478-3658, 1070, 6000-6999 (apparently), this is probably also asking for trouble.
