Connect to an other AP using Fonera+

Dear Community,

I have a Fonera+ already flashed with open wrt and Piranha so now i am thinking about how to use it, i had the idea using it as a "Brick" my wireless router is the first floor and everytime i wanna surf with my laptop in the third floor the signal is very weak. So my question is:

Can I connect to my Router in the first Floor using the Fonera ? Is it Possible that i can connect to the Fonera and the Fonera redirects the Internet ?
