USB multipass on External Hard Drive

Hi there,

I'm trying to put a multi pass on a external hard drive. My idea it is to put some nice software to help me on my work.

The list.

- Ubuntu 9.10 (almost final version , I think I go use the live cd to create a live system then add the other images).

- Windows (XP Home Install CD, XP Pro Install cd, Vista AIO Install DVD, and when it cames to the market Windows 7 Install)

- Hirens Boot CD (here the site... http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd )

- Dr. Web LiveCD ( http://www.freedrweb.com/livecd/ )

- Kaspersky LiveCD ( I only found a link on softpedia... http://www.softpedia.com/downloadTag/Kaspersky+LiveCD )

I think it is the fine list (for me) I will save a lot of cds/dvds

It's the same method for an external HDD as for a USB Flash Drive. Look at the guides around here.

External HDD is basicly just big USB stick... which requres external power.

Kingston has that 256GB one... can you run USBs in RAID? O_o

In Linux you can, and BSD and well just about any other *nix

:P

256gb usb.. 3 of those in my netbook and i'm set. just have to replace my old 4x3 in usb raid.

Well I gonna wait for the final or a beta version of ubuntu (9.10) all most there... :) They have put grub2 by default, I'll try to update the grub and I mess up my boot.
