joeypesci
Is there a way to get around it not accepting blank passwords? What I mean is I've used http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ to clear the Admin password which is now showing as blank on the server 2008 box. Yet trying to login and it keeps saying the password is wrong, even though according to ntpasswd the password is now blank. Any ideas how to get around this without reformatting? digip
Could try Konboot, then once in, set a passsword, and then reboot. Not sure if it runs on Server 2008 though.
chaser48
As i remember ntpassword will only reset the local password not the domain. So if you are attepting to login using domain administrator then you are entering the wrong PW. check to see if you can login to the local machine. SomethingToChatWith
Make sure you type * for the password and not just enter, enter. That should blank it.
Netshroud
Are you logging in as domain admin or local admin? If it's a DC, in the username field, put "MachineName\Administrator" (duh without the quotes, replace machine name with.... the name of your first pet)
joeypesci
Logging in to the local machine. Unlocked the Guest account with NTpasswd but even that's not allowing me in.
