***btw, no scripts kiddies!!! this script works on all systems and should work with all recent builds of conky. Also I just added the darker part to the wallpaper itself instead of just putting the code in. You do need a pretty dark or black left side of a background to see it properly unless you modify the colors.***

Nothing too interesting this month have been on laptop all last month

EDIT: Was about to say everyone has very nice wallpapers (expected as we all spend too much on time on our comps) but then CraigHB went and ruined it :P

One funny thing I noted is usually my desktop is clear and i love keep files organised properly but can't apply the same to my real life room is always so messy!! Anyone the same way?

Not my desktop but I have pretty much the exact same setup.

Did this to confuse a friend, and to prove it was do-able. I'm running gnome

I know it's an abomination, I'll get a decent desktop sorted within the next week.

Thanks for the link.

But it's not working for me. I've put the "urxvt*inheritPixmap" as true, aswell as tweaking the fading and tint values. But instead of being transparent, it just shows my desktop background. Like, for instance, if I open a terminal above firefox, the terminal wouldnt show firefox, but would show part of my wallpaper. Is this the norm, or an incompatibility issue with feh setting the background and the transparency setting in ~/.Xdeaults?

Sorry for diverting the thread topic.

Hmm. I had that..

It's like, a "transparent" terminal, when above another window like firefox, doesnt show firefox underneath it. Instead, it shows my desktop. Its like showing me whats behind firefox, instead of firefox.

Oh, I understand what you mean now, and that's just how transparent terminals are ^_^

@KeelBug: I like ^_^
