ZigZagJoe Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 DO NOT USE THIS THREAD - EVER! Please go to http://ridetheclown.com/ and either use the forums or IRC. This is seriously the last time I'm looking at this thread. Quote
TheTick Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 I KNOW this is reviving an ancient thread. Old computer died and I managed to lose my copy of Saver2 1.5 (which amazingly still functions). Does anyone have a copy of the the installer that still works? I found one out there the ZigZagJoe seem to have shared but for some reason the installer itself needs to connect to his website which is no longer maintained. 1 Quote
joker66599 Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 I have 2.0 still working some songs will be like shuddering. but I am here looking to the song downloading part of this program I use to have. 1 Quote
TurtleSauce Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I love this program and have used it for years. I recently had to reinstall Windows and when I went to install Saver2 again it failed, I guess ZigZagJoe took down the ridetheclown.com. I managed to grab the Program Files directory for it from my Carbonite backup. It isn't the installer but has everything it needs to run. Since a couple people here were asking for it and I am sure others have looked, I want to share it for those who need it. https://www.file.io/download/nGdjb6WlJG90 Quote
8BitMercenary Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 I have what I believe is the latest version last updated in 2014, just in case if what TurtleSauce provided is not the latest. It's a shame that this got abandoned. I wish I was a programmer or I would certainly update this. It actually still works pretty well, only thing now is for some of the songs they are using this newer p-cdn.us domain/url, and for some reason the sniffer can't detect them. The saver is able to see and save them as a .mp3 under the wildcard rules, but then genericsaver discards them because they have no tags for some reason. If anyone knows how to change one of the config files to add/read tags on the new url then I will pay you. Quote

standfort Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Saver2Setup requires a file (http://ridetheclown.com/s2/S2bins.zip) to install, as this domain is no longer alive, it cannot be installed normally. PandoraSetup works fine. Does anyone have a copy of S2bins.zip ? here are backups i can find: PandoraSetup.exe https://web.archive.org/web/20160809123806if_/http://ridetheclown.com/s2/PandoraSetup.exe https://mega.nz/file/vgNmERKB#l5-UbYSuS8q2oM9pTEtyfxhy9y-7OGElGvhwWuUr-5o Saver2Setup.exe https://web.archive.org/web/20160809122856if_/http://ridetheclown.com/s2/Saver2Setup.exe https://mega.nz/file/a1VQDZpY#oVZSX8iM3EYhOgrsMbXkgT8mip6-23cAByPLZAXIcUI Quote
8BitMercenary Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 @Mirex @Grzy7316 @standfort https://www.mediafire.com/folder/1oozhb7oa8kwy/Saver2_stuff This is what I could find. Not sure what S2bins.zip is, but I think I have all the program files here. In addition to some dev folder that I found from an older install. Still crossing my fingers this will start working fully some day again lol. It still works, but only partially. One of the new cdn Pandora uses, Saver2 doesn't recognize. Or it does, just not configured to save from that source. And I don't know how to edit the code to do that myself, if it's even possible without source code. Quote
8BitMercenary Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 Working fine now. The cdn that was giving trouble isn't being used for the time being. You don't need S2bins.zip to install. You don't even need to install using that or the setup.exe. You just have to copy the Saver2 folder to C:\Program Files (x86) and run SProxy from inside that folder. It will guide you from there. I'm including a new link, seeing as mediafire only allows folder downloading with a pro plan now. also put a few update files in there that I found. Haven't tried running them though, as it works fine just using the folder as is. Oh and looks like that dev folder I found contains the development resources for the entire program. https://mega.nz/folder/cQBBQLba#toiNeECtYl1sTwFjDEmn1w 1 Quote

I had another machine running and was able to capture all files for installation on new laptop. Thank you! Quote
