digip Posted June 2, 2009 Share Posted June 2, 2009 Depends on the mp4 file itself. Most mp4 files that have video use aac audio, not mp3s, for their audio. You can demux the audio from an mp4 file with media player classic(if on windows) but 9 times out of ten, it makes an aac audio file, not an mp3. If your burning software can burn aac to an audio cd, then your fine, otherwise you need to again convert it to another format, like wav or mp3. Nero has a plugin to burn aac and m4a audio files. If you have Sony Soundforge 8, then you can open the mp4 video and save the audio out to any format the program can save to, including mp3.
