A colleague has a five year old son and was telling us about the games he was introducing him to (sonic). This got us into a discussion about the old games we loved before we hit puberty. They seemed to be a lot more wholesome.

Tenuous link over:

This is a game called "Chop Suey". It was on the Atari 65xe. It took about 20mins to load from a tape. I think I was like 7 or 8 when I was into this.

Good

:)

I've shown you mine...

@moonlit - Flashback was the most awesome game ever when I was a kid. (btw, the pic you show, is that not flashback 2 for snes?)

I'm not sure actually, I think I had Flashback 1 for SNES and it looked a lot like that.... I could be wrong though, it was a long time ago. :P

@moonlit - The first Flashback was much less graphical and a lot more dark than that one. You can get it for free now though! I got my copy snagged. It's abandonware, but just hard to find lately.

here's a screenshot of the origional (called "Out of this world: Another World")

www.thehouseofgames.net great place for old abandonware.

BTW @Geeek - OutRun was on ALOT of consoles but back in the day it was best on the Sega Master System which I always wanted... Got to play it for like a week back in the 90's though.

BBTW! my fav racing game back in the day: Virtua Racing -Arcade Version.. Which was very technologically advanced for it's time and included many things that spawned into later racing games and games in general.

The game I played the most was Elite. Wireframe graphics have never been so addictive.
