Script to change homepage in IE & FF

Basically, I need to change the homepage in IE and FF on hundreds of PC's.

Before I get grilled... I'm just a lowly grunt worker and my opinions and ideas are worth jack shyte to the higher ups (without divulding the technology we use --- things are in place to have this take literally a minute -- but it's all fubar here.)... so I need to make do with what I can.

I have a working script that will change the homepage in IE... we'll deploy it/push it over the network to our clients. (If worst comes to worst, we can attach it to a user login and have the script run that way..) Anyway.

So now, I need a script to change the homepage in Firefox.

This would also be pushed out to clients to run/execute...

Any ideas?

Open a reg key in C++

IE

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]

"Start Page"="http://www.PAGE.HERE/"

Firefox is different and you will have to read the profile.ini to find the default profile and edit it from there. You will have to edit:

\Profiles\*.default\prefs.js

I already have the IE script working... Just need Firefox. Although I have an idea of what needs to be done, I haven't done much tinkering with it, just wanted to see if you guys knew the answer right off the bat.

Whit python it shoudnt be to hard. Open the profile .ini read the random chars add .default cd in there and edit the pref.js.
