Please bear with me I'm using this all as a learning experience.

However I do have my jasager up and running like it should. It's also been wired to a battery and put inside a tasty pineapple. Next I want to install Flip like shown here. http://www.ex-parrot.com/~pete/upside-down-ternet.html

That's where I get lost. Also I haven't been able to get back to the OpenWrt interface. I did do the optional step

Step 19:

Copy (or move) the contents of /karma/www/ to /www/ (if you installed from package version 1.2). Also note I renamed the original index.html in /www/ to webif.html for easy access

mv /www/index.html /www/webif.html

cp -R /karma/www/* /www/

reboot

Robin - This step is optional. If you don't do it you need to access Jasager through port 1471, i.e. visit http://jasager.mynet:1471/ . This is the way I do it so that webif says accessible and it is a bit of security through obscurity.

Any and all help greatly appreciated. Technolust Trusted!

upside-down-ternet would be nice but it requires the device be powerful enough to do graphics processing and I don't think the fon could cope with it, especially if a large image came through. It is on my list of things to try when I get back to Jasager in the next couple of weeks.

To see the original webif gui you should it <ip>/webif.html

Well I was finally able to get to the openwrt interface. Seemed I misspelled webif as webf.

Anyway I've found a place to start with for flip http://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=7895

By the bottom of the thread someone has done it using another computer connected I believe.

So I have something working for now...

I needed a second computer though tongue

I used Debian. make sure you have perl, squid, dhttpd and a coffee.

So he used Debian but could it be done on a Win xp machine to go along with internet sharing pc? http://wiki.hak5.org/wiki/Internet_Connect...mit_Der_Jasager

I haven't been through that tutorial yet just been connecting the jasager directly to an ethernet line internet access.

I'll give it the old boyscout best on trying to install this myself but it's going to b a confusing process.

I did have one more idea and I'm currently not able to find it. But it was a hack to install more memory for the fon. I don't think it was this forum but I'll keep searching. From what I remember somebody found a laptop memory card that had the same chip as the la fon. They unsolder it from the memory card and then soldered it to to the back of the la fon board mirroring the existing chip on the other side. So my question would this give the device the extra umpf it needs to power flip?

upside-down-ternet would be nice but it requires the device be powerful enough to do graphics processing and I don't think the fon could cope with it, especially if a large image came through.
My guess is that it might give it more space to deal with a larger picture but not going to help the graphic processing.

Hope some of this helps and thanks for the response diginija.

Bikeswine added a sd card reader to a fon for me and from what he said that wasn't too much trouble. Looking at it you basically tap a set of points on the circuit board and run them to the card slot. Making to look as good as he did, that is the hard part!

He also tried adding more memory, there he did have trouble. Off the top of my head, you need to change the bios (not firmware) to allow it to see the extra memory and doing that is hard work. He killed at least one fon and mangled another trying. So yes, the extra memory would help but adding it is beyond the reach of mortals, you'd need to be a soldering god and know what you are doing with flash memory.

If you are after sharing your internet connection there are quite a few threads in this forum on how to do it with discussions on problems people have had with the different solutions.
