joeypesci
http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quick...Key=11157,50542 Can anyone work out if it's possible to have 2 1TB drives in this and use them both as separate HDDs instead of them being in a RAID format? I've looked about on reviews but can't find anyone who mentions it, they all just bang on about RAID. I don't want the RAID feature, I want to use both HDDs separately. joeypesci
Never mind just found this Does ReadyNAS support JBOD or some sort of non-RAID setup? ReadyNAS does not support JBOD, however, you can create a RAID 0 striped volume across all four disks or create a separate RAID 0 volume on each disk. Does this mean I could get it to work but each disk would have to be setup up as RAID 0?
joeypesci
They've e-mailed me back and said I could do Flex-RAID which would allow each HDD to have it's own volume. Although I think I'm talking to myself now :)
