Learnaseyego Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Ok. I live out in the bonnies and there is no way for me to get true broadband internet. So, I rely on my blackberry. I have just installed Ubuntu on an old computer I had sitting around and I would like to be able to use the internet through my blackberry on ubuntu. Can anyone please help me figure out how to get the Verizon Access Manager to work with Ubuntu. THANKS! Quote

You could try using Wine if you want that specific piece of software to work, else try plugging the device in and see if the network manager picks it up as a modem. Try the Ubuntu forums for better support. Quote
vector Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 if your phone has bluetooth DUN capability then you could tether it via bluetooth. Quote

Learnaseyego Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 I gave wine a try, but I hit a wall. When I ran it, it said that it must first connect to the internet... but that's my problem in the first place lol..... so? Quote
