is there a really quick dock that makes the windows stay 'above it' and when i say above it i dont mean OVER the top of it, but like really it cant go any lower on the screen than the top of the dock... thats the only problem I have with rocket dock as it is right now.

with object dock from stardock you can do this. it has an option to "reserve edge of screen" and any windows or icons will stay out of this area that is reserved for the dock even when you maximize them. also you can fully customize the speed settings of object dock if you want to set how fast it auto hides, reappears, set the speed of the icon animations etc. i noticed that you mentioned that it wasnt fast enough for you.

yah, see it's a lovely program, but see im trying to pimp out my laptop with it, and even though I have decent specs on it, it's just kinda an eyecandy vs. realworld and speedy use thing. Stardock is exactly what I need just except for the reserving the edge of the screen issue. the thing that bugs me the most about it is the fact there has to be some kind of little super fast script out there that does this.. but i havent found anything on it. Hell im even thinking about coding one myself.

XPSP3 witn Windows 7 Taskbar Theme/Style. Notice minimized programs have the small buttons and no text, instead of the normal wider ones with text labels. Makes minimized windows look like icons from the quick launch bar.

Updated with some more tweaks:

Transparency controls for objects like taskbar(fades in and out on mouse over), start menu, and windows can be set transparent by way of mouse scroll wheel over a windows toolbar.

3x 22" widescreens with a total resolution of 5040x1050. Finding wallpaper that wide is a pain

Googe for panorama and picture stitching and there are lots of people who upload their panorama images as wallpapers. http://images.google.com/images?q=panorama...&imgsz=huge
