Sparda Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Hi i am new to this form and I hope you can help me. My school has an annoying firewall and access blocking software. SmoothCriminal Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 I think logmein.com is the easiest way, or you could leave your porn browsing for home. Quote
rtc443 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 ya i would just go with an ssh tunnel, putty and firefox portable on a flash drive, then openssh on windows computer at your house(always on). If you have wireless then you might have to open port 22. Then to make it easier go to http://www.dyndns.com/ and make a free account. instead of numbers for ur ip you will have an address. I was going to do this myself but not anytime lately, also the ssh is great for being at a coffee shop or public internet, that way all ur traffic is encrypted. good luck Quote
vector Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 torpark + thumb drive = simple easy way to bypass web filters. no need for setting up all that ssh tunnel, proxy this, port forward that, dns this nonsense. Quote
H@L0_F00 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 what kind of firewall are they using? Server proxy, software, hardware, etc? Quote
Bit Hunter Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 My old high school had quite good firewall. I wasn't able to create a SSH connection due to ssl limited to 443. But i was able to tunnel through with a OpenVPN with http tunnel... Haven't got SSH working through http tunnel... PS I have given enough keywords to google it, and learn a bit... Quote

Went there like 7 in the morning and came back like 7 in the evening. So I had enough time to punch through firewall, lus i had my own PC... Quote
