Hi i am new to this form and I hope you can help me.

My school has an annoying firewall and access blocking software.

I was wondering if there is a way to access my home internet from school's firewall and their annoying blocking software like untangle and open dns.

ssh tunnel with proxy is the easiest way

ya i would just go with an ssh tunnel, putty and firefox portable on a flash drive, then openssh on windows computer at your house(always on). If you have wireless then you might have to open port 22. Then to make it easier go to http://www.dyndns.com/ and make a free account. instead of numbers for ur ip you will have an address.

I was going to do this myself but not anytime lately, also the ssh is great for being at a coffee shop or public internet, that way all ur traffic is encrypted. good luck

torpark + thumb drive = simple easy way to bypass web filters. no need for setting up all that ssh tunnel, proxy this, port forward that, dns this nonsense.

My old high school had quite good firewall. I wasn't able to create a SSH connection due to ssl limited to 443. But i was able to tunnel through with a OpenVPN with http tunnel... Haven't got SSH working through http tunnel...

PS I have given enough keywords to google it, and learn a bit...

why not hack the gibson?

your at school you dont need net access

True, but practically i lived at my school... Went there like 7 in the morning and came back like 7 in the evening.

So I had enough time to punch through firewall, lus i had my own PC...
