Neinsager
My EeePc 701 4G special (because of all the mods i have put in and on it) runs under Ubuntu-ee and allso got a (no solderless) tochscreen (both online) works nice to, only i made use of this driver And afther downloading, getting it unrapt(tar.gz), cd to the location, and with the command "sudo sh setup.sh" it installed all that is needed to get the touch screen work in Ubuntu, Ubuntu-eee, Xandros, etc, etc.

Neinsager
nice ya i ordered a few things so i can start doing some more mods to my eee i want to put a few hubs in there for bluetooth and more space.. maybe even a gps I just went out to look for a mini USB hub with 6 in place of 4 outputs, and found one (No brand) locally (computer (car boot sale)) replaced my 2 mini 4ports USB hubs in my EeePc for this 6 ports mini USB hub, and this 6 ports mini hub now powers/connects the TouchScreen, Bluetooth, GPS, 2xinternally mounted `16GB Sd cards en now i stil have one usb port free on this 6ports mini USB hub. Befour i just 2x 4 ports mini usb hubs and got 3 usb ports left over and no more space to build anything more inside my EeePc 701. And beware 2x 4ports usb hubs mounted in side your EeePc will get you more battery power consumption than 1x 6 ports usb hub will do.
