Ingo Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 O.K. so I am selling my EeePC 701 for my friend (since I got new shiny Acer from my sister), but my friend wont buy it with eeeubuntu on it, so I have to install Windows. Frist of all I don't own USB CD-ROM driver which would make whole process alot easier. I have XP Pro SP2 (legal, w00t! w00t!). I have 1GB USB stick (which I previously used for eeeubuntu installation). I have been searching little bit, but all solutions kind a.... well suck so far, I was just wondering if anyone had installed Windows via USB stick on EeePC and maybe could provide easy solution? Anyways thanks for advance =) Quote
VaKo Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Microsoft Desktop Deployment Toolkit 2008 (link) will allow you to install xp with the drivers slipstreamed via a USB stick. I use this exclusivly for my Windows installs and its damn good. If you need to know how to use it, read the technet articles on the subject and then ask me if you get stuck. Quote
