RogueHart Posted November 7, 2008 Share Posted November 7, 2008 windows has a lot of programs that linux doesn't. a lot of the people here at least dual boot linux. there is a substitute for pretty much all windows native programs. so what programs do you guys use to substitute the windows native programs you used. i use program------substitute bitcomet------ktorrent gateway webcam software-------cheese the kmplayer------vlc winamp-----amarok or xmms2 with various frontends photoshop cs3-----the gimp hydraIRC-------xchat with the gnome irc frontend thats it so far no wine programs please. just the substitute programs. if you can use the same program in linux that you do windows its not exactly a substitute now is it?
