  1. I run a VPN service to connect to the Internet. I can open my C2 instance OK and see my devices and stats OK. When I select a device, terminal, and try to open a SSH connection to the device I get the spinning circle icon and never get the SSH session established. Any suggestion on how to keep my VPN session and be able to open a SSH session from withing my C2 instance would be appreciated.
  2. Hello, can someone help me understand this kind of situation I'm(almost every one in my country who uses this) in? Lets see... Our country ISP provides DATA capped net for everyone per promo. The month since november, there's this single promo which gives additional 1 Gigabye of Data for Facebook and Instagram. And that only limits the access to FB and IG. No google, youtube, disocrd, reddit, etc. Well, sometimes, there's google and other sites, but it's kinda 50/50. Since it's only limited to FBIG. So, instead, what average people do(and by average, non tech savvy), is download an app called HTTP Injector and then use configurations files made by the users too. HTTP Injector is a VPN app. Somewhat. So, when the correct config is used. It's possible to bypass Facebook and Instagram limits. Hence, allowing us to browse other sites as well. Here's a sample stuff I used using ovpn instead of http injector(only limited to android): remote [ssh server ip] [port] http-proxy [ip] [port] http-proxy-option CUSTOM-HEADER CONNECT HTTP/1.1 http-proxy-option CUSTOM-HEADER Host connect.facebook.net http-proxy-option CUSTOM-HEADER X-Online-Host connect.facebook.net http-proxy-option CUSTOM-HEADER X-Forward-Host connect.facebook.net http-proxy-option CUSTOM-HEADER Connection Keep-Alive http-proxy-option CUSTOM-HEADER Proxy-Connection Keep-Alive (edited) As for http injector, it uses CRLF exploit( i think??) but the keywords are still the same What it does is creates a VPN connection and redirects all network access to the said VPN. Hence, allowing us to surf other websites instead to only being limited to FB and IG. Of course, when the VPN is turned off, it won't work anymore. Although this method doesn't bypass the data capping limit of 1gb, it's still enough to surf the web. Some sort. There are other times on where people where able to bypass the data capping limit of 1 gb, but i don't know what payload/host they are using since it was kept secret at all times to avoid detection from the isp. 3. I have a vacation home in Mexico. It has internet provided by a mexican company. Is there a way to bypass the geolocation, other than the commercial VPN services. The ones I've tried don't seem to work on all sites. Primarily I want to watch Netflix, Hulu, etc. Is there a way to simply log onto my "Home" network in the USA, as if I was still home? There will be no computer on the "Home" network while I'm gone, but there is a network hard drive. If someone can steer me toward the terminology of what I need, or youtube, or articles, i can research. thanks in advance.
  4. is there any relatively decent cheap VPNs you'd recommend??

    VPN to Tor

Hi, I haven't posted in a while, but i've always found the people on this forum to be very helpful and supportive. I have an OpenVpn server which also has Tor installed. I am wondering, just for curiosity purposes is there any way to route all the traffic coming to the server through the VPN over Tor so it would look like this Client ---> OpenVpn Server -----> Tor ------> internet. I assume this is possible but im only just learning about ip routes so was looking for a bit of guidance. If anyone could help that would be great. I've found a few similar things on other forums but im not sure they are achieving exactly what i want, and i don't understand the routing commands enough to change it to suit my needs. Many Thanks David
  6. i am setting up a computer dedicated as a learning resource and tool. People get caught out by stating without security from the beginning. There are also setting in tor that secure you even further but im not sure on what that is, i remember hearing about it in a defcon video. But basically this post is just asking how i can keep myself safe on the dark web and learning and using these resources to work my way into becoming an intelligence worker for my county. All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you
  7. So, I'm trying to configure an Open Vpn server to bridge two client connections together. The server is running on a Raspberry Pi 3, and one client, a "drop box" is on a Raspberry Pi 0. The second client is my Ubuntu laptop. Both Pis are running Raspbian Lite, so no GUI interface. I'm pretty comfortable with the command line, but I'm quite stuck here, and after researching for a while, I figured I'd ask for some help. I'm installing open vpn through the quick, vanilla install method. By which, I'm using `wget https://git.io/vpn -O openvpn.sh && bash openvpn.sh`. It gets the script from that address, and executes it, setting it up as a server. I got that far. Where I'm confused is the configuration for the server. The OpenVpn site says to use the GUI web interface, but I only have command line tools, to save on system resources. Every time I try to run `openvpn --config /etc/openvpn/client.ovpn` on my Pi Zero Client to connect to the VPN, I get the following error message: Sat Jan 27 21:00:14 2018 [server] Peer Connection Initiated with [AF_INET]192.168.1.41:1194 Sat Jan 27 21:00:16 2018 SENT CONTROL [server]: 'PUSH_REQUEST' (status=1) Sat Jan 27 21:00:16 2018 PUSH: Received control message: 'PUSH_REPLY,redirect-gateway def1 bypass-dhcp,dhcp-option DNS 192.168.1.1,route-gateway 10.8.0.1,topology subnet, ping 10,ping-restart 120,ifconfig 10.8.0.2 255.255.255.0' Sat Jan 27 21:00:16 2018 OPTIONS IMPORT: timers and/or timeouts modified Sat Jan 27 21:00:16 2018 OPTIONS IMPORT: --ifconfig/up options modified Sat Jan 27 21:00:16 2018 OPTIONS IMPORT: route options modified Sat Jan 27 21:00:16 2018 OPTIONS IMPORT: route-related options modified Sat Jan 27 21:00:16 2018 OPTIONS IMPORT: --ip-win32 and/or --dhcp-option options modified Sat Jan 27 21:00:16 2018 ROUTE_GATEWAY 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 IFACE=eth0 HWADDR=00:e0:4c:53:44:58 Sat Jan 27 21:00:16 2018 ERROR: Cannot ioctl TUNSETIFF tun: Operation not permitted (errno=1) Sat Jan 27 21:00:16 2018 Exiting due to fatal error To be clear, in case it wasn't already, I want to use the Pi Zero as a 'drop box' type of device. Its purpose is to be 'dropped' on a network, and tunnel out to the VPN Server. I tunnel into the VPN server using my laptop, and the packets sent from my laptop flow to the Pi Zero, letting me into the internal network the Pi is connected to. I'm trying to use the terminal only client because Darren said it's better, and I don't exactly have a lot of hardware to work with. The more resources I can save, the better. I'm only asking on here because the only resources I could find out there wanted the GUI, and I don't have one of those. Hak5 uses the install method I used in the second video I linked, but doesn't explain any of how it works, or how to configure it if you're not using a packet squirrel. I got the idea from a few Hak5 videos, which I will link below. Is there a configuration file I'm missing? If so, what do I have to change? This seems to be a pretty popular method of installing openvpn, so I'm rather surprised there isn't documentation for the command line only version. Thanks for reading all of this mess, and I appreciate any and all responses. 8. Hi Guys and Gals, Ive recently set a OpenVPN on my home server running Ubuntu Server. I have managed to set it up to a point where i can connect to it via my laptop and phone whilst on and off the network, HOWEVER i have no internet coming through !!! Any ideas or help would be great. Thanxs
  9. So for the last 3 months I have setup a home openvpn to run on my server and it connects but never get no internet. I've checked firwalls and ports and programs and clients but nothing. So I'm going to start from scratch with a different program. Something that has a server and client option also available in android store. Any advice. Newish to Ubuntu
  10. I really loved the last two episodes on creating a VPN. I have a Wifi Pineapple Nano and have setup a VPN server and can manually connect . I used the forwarding 'foo' code in the video to get client forwarding working. Now I wanted to make it so that the openvpn client and the forwarding script works on startup but I cannot seem to get it working. I've done some searching but cannot think of where to go from here. I've put this in /etc/init.d/ #!/bin/sh # Start the openvpn service openvpn client.ovpn #Setup forwarding for clients iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 172.16.42.0/24 -o tun0 -j MASQUERADE iptables -A FORWARD -s 172.16.42.0/24 -o tun0 -j ACCEPT iptables -A FORWARD -d 172.16.42.0/24 -m state --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -i tun0 -j ACCEPT And created a symlink to /etc/rc.d/ If I run the commands separately it all works however I cannot get it to run on boot. Should they be run as two different processes? Is it because openvpn is running the second won't trigger. Not sure if it's my lack of understanding of Unix/bash scripting or something else. Thanks for your time guys.
  11. I've been using my Nano as a Travel router and tunneling through OpenVPN to my router at home. I've just spun up a IPSEC VPN with Algo on Digital Ocean and wanted to use this instead of OpenVPN. Does anyone know where I can find documentation for setting up the Nano to tunnel through IPSEC VPN?
  12. Hey guys, I am new to the whole forum thing. I am curious on how to use the VPN payload with my packet-squirrel. I bought NordVPN a while ago, they offer the following files to connect ".crt with .key" and ".opvn". Though I am clueless on how to use these files, I tried copying the ".opvn" to the configuration file. I am sure I am doing this wrong, but I want to learn. I know how to use these files on Linux but not so much with the Packet-squirrel, what should I do? Edit: I have read the documentation, before that comes up thanks.
  13. After watching plenty of videos, I'm still not understanding how to get my NANO set up as a hotspot that will allow everything connected to it to go through a VPN connection (specifically with Mullvad service). My setup is this. Cell Phone with internet with NANO connected to it, a power bank connected to the NANO, and then whatever device connect to the NANO. So basically I am trying to connect my PC and or other device to the NANO, but have the NANO use a VPN connection when its sending and receiving packets.
  14. Hi, how do I connect my packet squirrel to my Amazon AWS VPN?
  15. hello ive recently read a lot about anonsurf and was wondering if turning a vpn on before turning on anonsurf would ghost my activity? If not I would love to hear your thoughts about the best way to become ghost online.
  16. I've set up an OpenVPN Server on my VPS with OpenVPN Road Warrior Installer. How does one configure the client.ovpn to act as a gateway? Like mentioned in this Youtube Tutorial. I know how to configure this in OpenVPN Acces Server, but I don't want to replace the Road Warrior Installation with OpenVPN AS. Thanks in advance, Dan
  17. I thought I would test out the 2 VPN services I'm subscribed to at this time. I wanted to see raw tests, tests with VPN enabled and more importantly, the possibility of a DNS leak. I'll admit while I understand the concept of a DNS leak, I used 3 different web sites to test which are listed at the bottom. No links included as this isn't a pitch for either service except raw links to the speed test I used and the 3 DNS leak websites. Happy to know if those don't work and if there are better actual methods to test for a DNS leak. Speed Test: http://speedtest.xfinity.com/ Comcast Speed Test: No VPN Location: San Jose, CA Download: 240.6 Upload: 12.6 Latency: 14ms Let Software Pick the Server: Comcast Speed Test: NordVPN Location: New Castle, DE Download: 44.6 Upload: 11.8 Latency: 93ms Comcast Speed Test: IPVanish Location: San Jose, CA Download: 67.9 Upload: 11.5 Latency: 19ms Let's Pick a Country: Costa Rica Comcast Speed Test: IPVanish Location: Augusta, GA Download: 62.3 Upload: 9.3 Latency: 198ms Comcast Speed Test: NordVPN Location: Foxboro, MA Download: 46.0 Upload: 10.0 Latency: 233ms DNS Leak Tests: https://www.dnsleaktest.com/ https://ipleak.net/ http://dnsleak.com/ NordVPN never showed DNS leaks on the 3 sites listed above. IPVanish frequently shows a Comcast DNS server(s) in the mix.
  18. Hello All, I am considering to install my own VPN server to surf anonymously and change my IP to an American one. This tutorial explains how to setup Open VPN on a VPS (DO) i am wondering is OpenVPN necessary or i could go for an L2TP installation as it seems to be much easier to install and easier to maintain. Is L2TP really unsafe as I could read it around online? Thanks for your inputs.
  19. So I really need help, I though I had everything squared up and ready but I tried to connected externally this afternoon and found a large hole in my plan (a little cranky) . I have everything working great but external access to my OpenVPN server. For more information please read the below link https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topi ... vpn-build/ Long story short I need to access my server from outside the network. The setup is my open VPN server on a raspberry pi running raspbian which is on local ip 10.1.1.101 and I run all of its traffic through another raspberry pi configured as a gateway with the ip of 10.1.1.102 then out to the Internet. Everything is working great internally I just need to know what I have to do to access it external. The default gateway for the gateway pi is 10.1.1.1
  20. Hi everybody! I am trying to route all wlan0 traffic through a VPN, but I cant get it to work. my Pineapple is cabled to my router, with a static ip address, and wlan0 is set up as an access point. I am connecting to the vpn server using the following command: openvpn --config /sd/config/vpnserver.ovpn which works fine, and I traffic directly from the pineapple terminal goes through the VPN (for example pings from the pineapple terminal, i check this using tcpdump -i tun0). But when I connect to the access point it seems like all the traffic from wlan0 goes diretly to br-lan. I have tried adding the following rules to iptables: iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING 1 -o tun0 -j MASQUERADE iptables -I FORWARD 1 -i tun0 -o wlan0 -m state --state RELATED,ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT iptables -I FORWARD 1 -i wlan0 -o tun0 -j ACCEPT but it does not work. How can I make all traffic from wlan0 go through tun0?
  21. Is there a way to get open vpn on the pineapple but without a vps there have been 2 videos that show this How to Build An OpenVPN Access Point - Hak5 2017 and pt 2 but both show using a vps can this be done without one my other option is to pay $5 for a digital ocean server but i want to try and refrain from buying one. is there any free alternatives or is that the only way it can be done
  22. Hi, I am a mark V owner thinking of purchasing a TETRA. If I were to use it as a normal router with an OpenVPN tunnel (i.e. TETRA is the client) what kind of speeds can I expect to get? It seems most routers max out at ~ 20Mb/s. Am I correct in assuming TETRA will not be able to handle a 100Mb/s connection ?
  23. Hey guys! Just followed the Hak5 Episode on making an OpenVPN server from scratch on Linux. I can connect to the VPN as long as I am connected to my own internal network... I thought the whole purpose was to be able to connect from the outside?
  24. anyone get this working ---- nano connecting to vps which is serving up web pages to grab crews and then sending it back to the nano. obviously the vps would have a ton or all the major pages in cache to grab the reds and then pass the traffic...??? or how can i make a splash page on the nano that the user clicks on - like free wifi - click for TOS - and it installs a cert of mine and then just sniff the business all day long? one last bit of guidance needed --- how can i use the nano to have it install an EXE on windows pc's???
  25. I am a security tester and I have been hired at a public school. What I'm wanting to achieve is to be able to access the school network from my home. I understand on connecting my computer and the turtle to a vpn. Example: «My home computer» > VPN > lan turtle > school computer > «school network» Basically the goal is to plug the turtle (with the right modules) into a computer and plug the Ethernet cord into the lan turtle. Then go home and access the network and do what I need to do. Example: Ethernet > lan turtle > school computer > school network The questions are: 1. Does the host computer (the one with the turtle plugged in) need to be on? 2. Does the host computer being logged off matter? 3. Would my theory work? 4. How could I get a list of every user on the network (school systems are tricky, any user can be Logged in on any computer)? 5. Will it just be that school network or will I also access the entire county school network?
