  1. Every time I watch tutorials about the Wifi Pineapple, I see that the hosts are able to get more information about clients by selecting them in the recon menu by MAC address. But when I hover over the clients in either of my Wifi Pineapples (both Nano and Tetra) the 'No' symbol appears (circle with the diagonal line through it) and does not allow me to select the item. Is this a common issue and is there a fix for this I have factory reset both devices twice already and I am still getting this issue. For further clarification this is the information that is in the help menu for the Wifi Pineapple: Clicking the menu button next to an MAC address shows a menu providing buttons to add or remove the MAC from the PineAP Filter or PineAP Tracking feature. Opening this menu will automatically look up the MAC address in the OUI database if it has been downloaded. In order to download the OUI database, either the WiFi Pineapple or the web browser itself must have internet access. Deauth uses the multiplier to send multiple deauthentication frames to the target Client. A multiplier of 2 is twice as many deauthentication frames as a multiplier of 1. The menu button is disabled when a scan is active (ie. not stopped or paused). Clicking the menu button next to an SSID shows a menu providing buttons to add or remove the SSID from the PineAP Pool or PineAP Filter. Deauth Clients will send deauthentication frames to all associated clients currently recognized by Recon using the multiplier. A multiplier of 2 is twice as many deauthentication frames as a multiplier of 1. etc............... Further information that may or may not be relevant: OS: Windows 10 Version 1803 OS Build 17134.706 and Kali Linux v3.30.2 Browser: Google Chrome Version 74.0.3729.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) and Firefox
  2. Hi everyone, I just updated to FW 2.5.2 and tried to utilise the deauth feature from the recon module. The Pineapple sees my AP, my client and I can also deauth it. However no handshake is captured (or I am looking in the wrong direction). When I use the "Site Survey" module I am able to capture and save the handshake in .cap format. Any idea what I do wrong? I have attached some pictures documenting the process. Some interesting remark. In step 3, when I can start the capture and the deauth button appears, it never succeeds in deauth the client. I have to close the pop up window and then manually select the client and choose "deauth clients" with a multiplier of 9 or similar (the client here is an iOS 9.3.3). I am happy to receive any ideas or feedback and any input is highly appreciated. Regards, Tom
  3. With the new update that came out I have been having issues with the Recon on the Wifi Pineapples (Tetra and Nano). Whenever I do a scan starts but just continuously searches for results. A few seconds to a minute later the "Out of Range Clients" appears but with nothing underneath. Is this a known issue or am I doing something. I haven't changed any configurations as far as power supplies or interface devices.

  5. I have set up my Tetra for practice and I am using my own network to try to practice some mitm techniques. I am unable to see any clients when I do the Recon scan, I see plenty of networks, but my network doesn't have any of the clients. I am using about 5 laptops, 3 Cell Phones, a couple of Fire Sticks, and a couple of other wireless devices. I want to be able to add these clients to a filter so I can practice getting in between them and deauth-ing. Any help would be appreciated, and if you would like specific screenshots let me know. Thanks! Michael
  6. Hi devs, I just did some researches as I have the problems that recon is hardly showing any results. (only a few APs and sometimes a few out-of-range) - but less than I know and my macbook is actually showing. As I mentioned in an other thread: - The Recon scan takes up to 5 seconds till starting. (-also PineAP only logs very(!) few probes and almost none associations.) To analyse whats going on I checked what Recon is doing (/usr/bin/pineapple/site_survey) and startet the jobs manually via SSH: - I added a Ralink Technology, Corp. RT5370 Wireless Adapter (cheapest Nano USB-Adapter) as wlan2 (no external antenna) I started "iw wlan0 scan" and just after finishing "iw wlan2 scan". Result: wlan0: 3 BSSs (all with "HT capabilities") wlan2: 6 BSSs (only 1 without "HT capabilities") Edit: wlan1: 7BSSs available. iw info showing wlan0 is set txpower 17dBm and wlan2 (the crap-stick) is set to 30dBm. So i set wlan2 to 17dBm as well (iwconfig wlan2 txpower 17dBm, confirmed by info ). BUT I get to results as testet above: wlan0: 1 BSS (my own AP) again wlan2: 6 BSSs (only 1 without "HT capabilities") So any idea what's wrong with wlan0? Might the usage of wlan0 (as AP and Managed AP) be causing any Problems? I disabled the Managed AP but still the same error. To be honest: I'm clueless now. But if you need more information: let me know.. Is wlan0 broken?!
  7. I'm still stuck trying to get my connectors clients a connection once they connect to open ssid And recon and pine AP won't enable for me neither option on my client ap I scanned and selected wlan2 with the connection I have on wlan0 connected to pineapple https://docs.google.com/document/d/1snpHiLvVIaobi69ycfFMaMyQ2QIa4dppoZlM6QNrI9I/edit?usp=drivesdk
  8. Good evening all, I've just taken ownership of one of these cracking little devices and I'm just trying to get to grips with its use of the built in storage. I've run a couple of Catpures via the Recon scan page but don't seem to be able to find the scans, am I missing something obvious? Also I've had a module installed that was 10k and deleted it as it was complaining I had no room for installing a 4k one but it's still complaining. I've ordered an 8gb SD card so hopefully that will resolve the problem in the end but be nice to know whats happening now. It's just a bit odd its saying no space even after removing a larger module. This is my filesystem atm. Do the files get stored in /rom or /dev? /tmp has LOADS of space spare.? Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on rootfs 2.4M 2.2M 208.0K 92% / /dev/root 12.5M 12.5M 0 100% /rom tmpfs 29.8M 172.0K 29.7M 1% /tmp /dev/mtdblock3 2.4M 2.2M 208.0K 92% /overlay overlayfs:/overlay 2.4M 2.2M 208.0K 92% / tmpfs 512.0K 0 512.0K 0% /dev Thanks for any help, Jase
  9. Hello, Ive been using my nano for a few days now, and I ran across a small problem. After I activate PineAP Daemon, and click save, and after its running, attempt to select any of the log boxes or "allow associations" and click save it will de-select itself and wont activate. Any idea on what the problem is? Not being able to allow associations is crippling to my nano. fyi I haven't changed any default config settings. Thanks in advance.
  10. I am having an issue with the tetra when it comes to deauthing from the recon tab. I scan the network and can see devices that are on particular SSIDs. When I click on the down arrow and click deauth nothing happens and that device is never deauthed from the network. Anyone else having this same issue? Am I doing something wrong? I didn't seem to have the same issue with the nano.
  11. Is it possible to include a timestamp to associate with aps that show up? One could then start analyzing time of day when certain aps appear and disappear in those that come and go. Or is there something out there that does that already?
  12. N00b question here... Just got my nano and wanted to play around with my own network. But it seems unable to detect any of my network's clients in recon mode. I can see clients on some other networks, but mine comes up blank. Wondering if the pineapple can only detect clients if there are certain conditions. I use a single Google wifi puck for my network's AP. Oddly though, if I profile my network, I can detect client macs. But recon remains ignorant. Thank you
  13. Hi All, Newbie here 1st time using Wifi Pineapple and Kali linux. So I've been able to successfully follow the setup video and configure my Wifi Pineapple. However, when I tried to Recon, I am getting an error of "There was an error starting up Recon. Please try again." I was only able to Recon once after the initial setup and havent been able to Recon again since then. Not sure what happened. I did enable PineAP's Daemon before noticing Recon doesn't work. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks
  14. Hi all. I'm struggling with my pineapple nano. Sometimes when I set it for 15 seconds, it searches and gets stuck at 100% (never finishes). Other times, it doesn't search, just gives me an error.. Any suggestions?
  15. As the title says, I often have to reboot the nano due to power outage or swapping power supplies, this causes me to have to log in again via the web GUI, but this causes a loss of all the Recon data, which is a pain if its been going for >10min. Does anyone know how to keep a persistent log of the recon data so that only a new recon would wipe it? Cheers
  16. Hi there! Got my Pineapple Nano easily up and running - it's a nice and tasty fruit. ;) So, what I want to ask: In the demo video to how to setup I see under "Recon" Scan Settings where you can choose "AP Only" OR "AP & Client". This one is missing in my UI. Is this not available for the NANO? Using the latest firmware for my device (1.1.3). Thanks
  17. I’ve got the Tetra (firmware 1.1.2) connected with USB to a Windows 10 computer. Internet is correctly shared on Windows, the Tetra has a working internet connection when it is booted. I’ve verified that internet connection is working by fetching the bulletins on the dashboard. When I go to Recon in the web interface and do a single 15 seconds scan the LED on the Tetra keeps continuously blinking red after the scan is finished, and the internet connection is not working anymore. Why is the internet connection not working anymore? Why does the LED keeps blinking after the recon scan has finished? Is this a bug?
  18. Using Recon or any module, is there a way to get the AP's internet IP?
  19. Recon + startScan runs with success {\"module\": \"Recon\", \"action\": \"startScan\", \"scanType\": \"apOnly\", \"scanDuration\": \"15\", \"apiToken\": \"" + token + "\"} response {\"success\":true,\"scanID\":53717986} Now trying to get the scan status gives no proper response for {\"module\": \"Recon\", \"action\": \"scanStatus\", \"scan\":{\"scanID\": \"921564248\", \"scanType\": \"apOnly\"}, \"apiToken\": \"" + token + "\"} response {\"completed\":false} what is wrong here?
  20. Hello, Ive been using my nano for a few days now, and I ran across a small problem. I did an update to 1.1.3 Now I don't see under Recon the Option: AP Only + AP & Client. Is the a Software Bug Any idea on what the problem is? Thanks in advance.
  21. Hey guys, I have a bit of a strange issue with my Nano When broadcasting with pine, I noticed that a'lot of the times Wlan1 quits when scanning with recon, showing no aps available and with using the site survey module the interface disappears. This has even happend when I have dead-dropped the Pineapple at a client target location, iv come back days latter to find wlan1 turned off and all the captured ssids to stop broadcasting. This requires a hard reboot (unplug from power and replug) What should I do about this? It is extremely annoying when using in the field at a client location as it ends up throwing a wrench in our attack vector. Haaaaaalp! :)
  22. Hello, Since I have my pineapple I always have one or more out of 4 problems. Does anyone know how I can solve this. 1. There is a problem with the recon page. Or there are no results or the scan keeps being stuck at 100%. 2. The Pineapple doesn't recognize the SD card. 3. The pineapple PineAP settings are all on, but the pineapple is not broathcasting any of the ssids in the pool. 4. The pineapple kick's me from the management wifi and disconnects everybody. What could be the reason(s) for this problem(s). Sorry for my bad english.
  23. SD card works sometimes, sometimes you need to remove it and put it back in order to make it work, also the recon get me " "No scan results." Even when i have 3 routers running next to me ( 2.4Gz) How do i fix that? I already did the factory reset 3 times!!
  24. So I saw some people having issues with recon not returning any results, but that isn't my issue so I'm thinking it's a different problem. When I first boot my nano and I do a recon scan everything is normal and I get a lot of results. If I let me nano run PineAP for a while collecting SSID's and all that, and then run another scan, it ends up returning only a single result at a time. I ssh'd into the nano and deleted the recon-xxxxx files in /tmp and rebooted the nano. Everything seems to work fine again, but once again, after a little while it just goes back to presenting a single result. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? But I'm fairly new to this so I wouldn't know what that is. Any suggestion is welcome!
  25. Is there anyway to log the recon scans or do i have to use pineAP for warwalking?
