  2. I have noticed that some of my connections aren't secure for over a few months now. My antivirus also keeps saying there are some network vulnerabilities. (Something about DHCP and it wants me to update the router firmware) I suspected that it has been monitored for a while now but, last night confirmed it. I was watching porn on my phone and I heard them laughing in the room next to mine. I wasn't sure if it was related and I heard one of them saying "He keeps on pausing and screenshotting it". I wanted to test to see if what I did on my phone would cause more laughter so I started looking up weird fetishes and they laughed even harder. I'm so embarrassed and I also feel very angry. Should I feel entitled to internet security when he owns the router? We all contribute to the internet bill so I would think that I'm entitled to some network privacy but, it would seem that they view it as "anything goes". I don't know what to do and I need your help. I really want to get back at them but, I don't know what to do. I thought of downloading a virus on a virtual machine so that it also downloads on their machine too (if they're downloading all my packets). If you have any questions for me, feel free to ask. I'm not very experienced in networking but, I'm willing to learn. P.S. I do have a VPN but only on my Windows PC
  3. Hello, I am looking for a packet sniffing program to get password. What are some good programs that work with windows 10 and easy to use. I have tried WireShark but can not get to work.
  4. Just got my PS to use for packet captures. I have been using a RPi but like that the PS was passive. However it appears the the PS only passes traffic through it if it has power. Has anyone experienced a different behavior with their PS?
  5. Hi Folk, I am using RTL-SDR to take dump of cell tower located in my region. Till now,I am able to take GSM incoming call dump which is working perfectly OK. Now, , my goal is to analyze GPRS connection initiation (GPRS attach) and corresponding signaling data. I have tried the scenario by switching OFF and then ON the mobile data but I couldn't see any packets related to GPRS. Is there something I am missing?
  6. Hello just received my Packet Squirrel and was trying to use putty to set it up, but unfortunately I could not find a com port assigned from my device or task manager. Running windows 7 and thought it to be minor error, anyone know of another way to obtain the port number?
  7. Hi everyone! I would love to solicit some feedback on what the strengths of the LAN Turtle are; and what the strengths of the Packet Squirrel are. Which is better suited for what particular types of applications? What has worked reliably and consistently for you on one or both platforms? If you have a favorite, I'd like to know it; and why. Thanks for all of your replies. Looking forward to reading what everyone has to say!
  8. Hi everyone. I recently picked up a new Pi 3, and I set it up to run headless with CC through SSH. I'm having difficulty getting packet injection to work for some reason. I know the Alfa cards work, I can use them successfully on my other devices just fine. 0/30 tests failed with aireplay-ng injection testing on the Pi for some reason. Kali 2.0 works fine on my laptop and PC. Anyone else have this issue before? I can pick up APs just fine, I've tried turning off channel hopping, specifically defining an ssid. No joy. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
  9. I'm fairly new to the whole wifi sniffing scene, but I think I want the Mark V since it seems like there's a good community and intuitive interface. I've done a little with OpenWRT stuff with some routers but it hasn't done it for me. I'm looking to buy the Mark V and configure it to do the following: I go to some public location I turn it on (+ maybe some small steps necessary to start the process) Starts displaying MAC addresses, signal strengths, and headers, of people's devices nearby with a timestamp Outputs to a log file preferably, or something I can save at some point I don't want to buy the Mark V and have to do a whole lot of my own coding since this project has a bit of a time crunch. Can anyone post some tutorials maybe, or any advice as to how to accomplish my goal with minimal sophistication? I have programming experience and all, but obviously the easier the better. Thank you
  10. Does anybody have any helpful information regarding capturing a password attempt to access my own wifi network? So this is before the user even logs onto my network, I want the ability to see what passwords the user is trying. I am thinking about hacking an open source router which I may need for this to work? If anyone has any information regarding this that would be very helpful, I have wireshark but the question is specifically about the initial password attempt to access the wifi network. Thanks!
  11. Dear friends, How to spoof the TTL(Time to Live) value in backtrack. I have no idea about that. I search this topic with Google. But i have not a good result. So please tell me how to do this ? if you think TTL value is most important to hide my ID?
