  1. Can anyone recommend a mobile phone forensics tool that's available to buy off the shelf (COTS)? I've aware of XRY and Cellebrite but they only seem to sell to corporate (enterprises) organisations but when i've contacted them they are not prepared to sell to an individual consultant. I'd like to buy a suitable one so appreciate your solutions
  2. I looked for threads on here for help reducing or semi-eliminating my digital footprint - to no avail. So i am posting this to ask how to reduce my digital footprint when i have many different accounts over the years, remembered and forgotten. I know i need to go back and try and individually remove them but i wanted to know if there was an easier way to do this. is there? or how do you 'measure' your digital footprint to know how public or private you are to the internet? if anyone can give me some tips or advice outside of 'go back and individually delete everything' - it would be very helpful. And perhaps it would help others with this also.
  3. Hello team, is it possible to extract & analyse SQLite Databases from Unallocated spaces on mobile devices? Keep in mind I want to take this as a postgraduate project. Thanks in advance.
  4. Sometimes you come across a generic USB drive and the drive doesn't have a unique serial number in the firmware. I know that if one of these devices is plugged in to a Windows machine that it will generate a serial number for the USB drive and it will be identifiable as a generated serial number because it will contain a "&" in the second position of the serial number. I also know that different route hosts on the same machine will generate a different serial number for the same USB drive on the same Windows machine. I also know that Ubuntu will store USB device information in the var/log/syslog file. My question is if a generic USB device is plugged into linux, will it generate a serial number for the device in the same way that windows does? Will it also generate a different serial for the same USB drive through different USB ports? I'd try this myself to get the answer but out of all of the USB drives I have all of them have actual serial numbers. -.- Thanks for your time!
  5. Hello, I am trying to use virtual box and WinFe to test out aquiring a drive that I pulled out of my very old laptop. I've tried adding the device on virtual box under *generic usb* and I'm not sure WINFE is finding the usb device. It is formatted in NTFS since the laptop was Microsoft OS. Well any help would be great, thanks have a great day.
