  1. Hello all! This 2.0.0 Beta release offers new features, bug fixes and general improvements to all aspects of the WiFi Pineapple experience. As always, the feedback provided by members of the community has been invaluable, and continues to be used internally to build out new additions and improvements. We hope that you enjoy the new changes, and invite you to join us on Discord and here on the forums. To get the Beta update, simply switch to the Beta Update Channel and check for new updates. You will then be prompted with a choice to upgrade. To see some sneak peeks of the firmware before upgrading, check the second reply to this thread. Release Notes: This update changes the LED trigger to be more active on wlan0 activity. We're currently trialing this change. It may appear that your WiFi Pineapple is still booting, but is actually already booted fully and is now showing wlan0 activity. Since Beta 2, wireless interfaces are not destroyed by PineAP starting, instead, they are disabled and mirrored in monitor mode with the new monitor_vif tool. This prevents interface name confusion when a new wireless card is inserted into the WiFi Pineapple, while wlan1 is already in monitor mode. Beta 2 Change Log: In addition to Beta 1; General Include OpenWRT 21.02 community feeds and Hak5 2.0.0 feeds Setup Correctly load EULA and Terms of Service even when network state changes UI Display interface base names (wlanX) instead of multiple instances of the same interface (wlanX, wlanXmon) for recon PineAPd Log zero-length IE tags properly Use new monitor_vif script to bring up interfaces in monitor mode while retaining original VIFs for system consistency Fix several possible deadlock situations in logging Recon Show relative times for detected networks even when the Pineapple system time is not set correctly, by comparing time offsets with the browser. Increase overall performance and stability of Recon backend Use consistent interface naming for MK7AC module adapters (wlan3) Beta 1 Change Log: Welcome to the 2.0.0 Beta! This firmware contains significant bug fixes and feature releases for the WiFi Pineapple Mark VII. General Updated to OpenWRT 21.02.1 Updated from kernel 4.14.180 to 5.4.154 Updated the Python Pineapple API Updated HostAPd Updated the OUI database General UI stability improvements Dashboard Fix an issue where the MK7AC wizard would not close when clicking the 'Configure' button Setup Improved the dynamic layout of the Setup wizard Campaigns Fixed a silent error when no reports are available PineAP Fixed numerous crashes Improved handling for Handshakes Changed the default location for Log and Recon databases to /root/ Added a README to the default handshakes location (/root/handshakes) Improved the bring-up time for the Management, Open, and Evil WPA Access Points Management Access Point no longer requires the password to change the SSID and Hidden/Disabled toggles Evil WPA Access Point now has the "Confirm Password" field auto populated Recon Add detection for WPA3 Access Points Add detection for newer 802.11 authentication suites Add a new tagged parameter view for Access Points View the tagged parameters and their hexadecimal values for a given Access Point. Add a column for MFP (Management Frame Protection) state Simplified the Security column Add a security summary dialog for Access Points Fixed a rare error where the Recon database couldn't be opened Performance improvements when fetching Recon data Implement an Auto Handshake Capture mode When enabled, WPA Handshakes will be captured whenever they are seen, regardless of whether a handshake capture is running Overhauled the Handshakes View Handshake listings now show the Client MAC, and also show the messages that were captured Improved handling of deauthentication attacks Improved the dynamic layout of the Recon page Fixed an issue where some channels in the Channel Distribution chart would have a grey colour Improved the Channel Distribution chart axis ticks Add an icon to table rows to further distinguish Clients from their associated Access Point A spinner is now shown when a deauthentication attack has been started Show an informative message for Access Points or Clients with MFP enabled when trying to perform deauthentication attacks against them Show the associated SSID for a selected Client in it's sidebar Show the OUI vendor name for the selected Client in it's sidebar Logging Fixed an issue where the wrong database would be accessed if the Logging location was changed Settings Network keys are now redacted from a generated debug log We will be paying close attention to the thread and the Discord channel (#wifi-pineapple) for the duration of the Beta, so please share any feedback or reports in those places, thanks!

  11. I have followed the steps from https://docs.hak5.org/hc/en-us/articles/360010471774-Firmware-Recovery. I am able to access http://192.168.1.1 to upload "tetra_factory.bin" . After doing so, the pineapple gets into a loop of no LED light, followed by blinking blue light for approximately 1 minute, followed by approximately 20 seconds of a solid yellow light before starting over. Could this be a power issue? I seem to have lost the original ac adapter over the years and have ordered a new one. So it is only powered via the micro USB cable connected via eth1 port. Any suggestions appreciated.
  12. Hi everyone, I'm sorta new to scripting and have been assigned a task at work - to make a functioning rubber ducky that would automatically start a saved script without user's intervention, ideally without showing the process on the screen. The firmware that could possibly do this is outdated and not supported by the ducky I have, and the firmware that's working either needs a key combination or other action, or is visible on the screen and thus interceptable. is there a way to fix this in the script or in the firmware? Thanks in advance for any help.
  13. What can be other use of Pineapple in daily life (w/ Pineapple firmware!), not just for pen testing. My initial setup also has Alfa awus036nha. Can it be used as Wifi signal booster; connects to wifi with awus036nha and you can connect to internet through AP121U LAN; other (name them). I presume, if you don't have stock firmware, which came with AP121U then you are stuck with Pineapple for life?

The device now starts in ATTACK mode by default. Enter ARMING mode by pressing the device button at any time while in ATTACK mode. Fixed a bug in USB Storage Mounting, which sometimes would cause payloads and firmeware upgrades to fail. Fixed a bug in the LED helper, which would sometimes prevent payloads from updating the LED. Fixed a network device driver bug and interface misconfiguration caused by some external wireless adapters. Fixed a bug in the device reset button, which made it difficult to perform factory resets. You can grab the update via the Hak5 Download Center and follow the Hak5 Docs Signal Owl Update article to get on the latest version. Cheers, Marc
  19. Thank you for version 2.6.1, ! YOU ROCK ! As there are diferent verions on the tetra/nano firmware> Is it possible to show at the, 'Available Modules from Hak5' page, the version number of what fimware will work with this version of that 3rd party module. It is maybe possible to put something in the module like $Author = 'Darrekinne' $Version = '13.3.7' $Workwith = '2.5.4' Now I have to hope that when I select a module, it will work with the 2.6.1 and the 3rd party still wants to update the module. Maybe you can send a mail to the active authors to inplement such new feature and consider the not responding/updated modules as only working with 'the tested version' (like 2.5.4) As we all like to install some of the modules Is it also possible when I install a module, the depencies are installed togheter during install. And if I decide to install the module to sd (Nano), the depencies are also installed to the sd. Then the ugly red/green (whatever color the author likes to use) buttons are gone. In the module the author can set the depencies $Author = 'Darrekinne' $Version = '13.3.7' $Workwith = '2.5.4' $Depencies = 'reaver bully' maybe at some of your API's you can implement something like if($Depencies) { opkg install $Depencies $toSD } Is it not normal that we want to install the depencies if we install a module. What use does it have if not ? Yelleke 🤔

  21. With the new update that came out I have been having issues with the Recon on the Wifi Pineapples (Tetra and Nano). Whenever I do a scan starts but just continuously searches for results. A few seconds to a minute later the "Out of Range Clients" appears but with nothing underneath. Is this a known issue or am I doing something. I haven't changed any configurations as far as power supplies or interface devices.
  22. Hi, I just bought my first Bash Bunny and tried to update it to 1.5 release. I read the docs about it, downloaded the updater and started it. Everything is going well, the download ends and the key blinks in red and blue. But once that's done, it becomes solid red and nothing else happens. My current version (version.txt): 1.3_267 I'm using Windows and don't have any other OS avalible right now. Thanks in advance for your your help, can't wait to use it!
  23. Good evening i have a little travel router(GL-MT300A). I was wondering if I should trust the custom openwrt firmware or should I reflash it with the openwrt image? Does anyone here use these routers or any experience with them?
  24. I can't connect to my wifi pineapple nano. I was able to connect to it before but I was experiencing some problems so I decided to do a firmware recovery. I followed the instructions: Next, follow these steps to access the recovery web interface and update the firmware. Unplug the WiFi Pineapple completely from all power sources. Begin holding the RESET button on the device. With the RESET button held, power on the device. Continue holding the RESET button for 10 seconds, then release. NANO: The blue LED will remain solid TETRA: The yellow LED will remain solid Connect the host PC to the WiFi Pineapple via the USB Ethernet Port NANO: The male USB A plug TETRA: The Micro USB port labeled ETH From the host PC, configure a static IP address on the WiFi Pineapple facing Ethernet interface to 192.168.1.2 with netmask 255.255.255.0 For example, in Linux run ifconfig eth1 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 up (where eth1 is the interface name of the WiFi Pineapple). From the host PC, browse to http://192.168.1.1 Click Choose File and select the factory firmware image downloaded above. Click Update Firmware. This process will take several minutes. Do not interrupt the power supply while the firmware is updating. Once complete, the WiFi Pineapple will restart. Reset the the WiFi Pineapple facing USB Ethernet interface back to DHCP or 172.16.42.42 with netmask 255.255.255.0 But when I try to connect to it via 192.168.1.1 it goes to my router login. Please Help. What am I doing wrong?
  25. I Read The Instructions for How to do this on the WifiPineapple Website, But I don't Understand the Step Where Your Supposed To Power On The Device But Not Connect it to your pc... Any Help?
