  1. Hi everyone, I just updated to FW 2.5.2 and tried to utilise the deauth feature from the recon module. The Pineapple sees my AP, my client and I can also deauth it. However no handshake is captured (or I am looking in the wrong direction). When I use the "Site Survey" module I am able to capture and save the handshake in .cap format. Any idea what I do wrong? I have attached some pictures documenting the process. Some interesting remark. In step 3, when I can start the capture and the deauth button appears, it never succeeds in deauth the client. I have to close the pop up window and then manually select the client and choose "deauth clients" with a multiplier of 9 or similar (the client here is an iOS 9.3.3). I am happy to receive any ideas or feedback and any input is highly appreciated. Regards, Tom
  2. Hi All, I got my WiFi pineapple nano a few days ago and I'm playing around with it and learning how to use it, I have inserted an 8gb sd card to install modules on, i have installed the deauth module from the pineapple modules page for the nano, it was successfully installed but when installing the dependencies the red bar goes to Orange "Installing dependencies" then goes back to red like its not installed, before i ssh into it to see whats going on with the install i thought i might ask as it may be something you guys have seen before. What trouble shooting techniques are there for this issue?
  3. Hello there, I'm experiencing constant Wifi Pineapple Crashes while running Deauth attacks against both 2,4 and 5GHz networks, even with having power adapter plugged in. Since I really need Pineapple right now during wireless networks audit - I'm asking for some help what to do about that bug, get it around. Also, during use of Beacon Response of PineAP I'm experiencing crashes. Device simply reboots itself. Is there any mean of troubleshooting that?
  4. Issue 1:My nano has issues with Deauth ( from recon) sometimes to doesn't deauth targets. Issue 2: When starting PineAP phones can rarely connect to it. IOS phones give the Unable to Connect To Network error. This happens 90% of times Issue 3: The scan issue being stuck at 100%. i understand its because of some error reading some beacons but i thought seb fixed it in firmware 2.0.2 Issue 4: After enabling PineAP and using it with sometime(broadcasting my pool and scanning and Deauth..) it crashes way too often which i believe is because the nano is unable to handle too much? i tried in configuration to reset firmware,it's not a power issue since im using the Pineapple juice or pc power..i don't know whats wrong. i just always end up being stuck in one of the above and i can;t achieve anything. how common are my issues?
  5. I am having an issue with the tetra when it comes to deauthing from the recon tab. I scan the network and can see devices that are on particular SSIDs. When I click on the down arrow and click deauth nothing happens and that device is never deauthed from the network. Anyone else having this same issue? Am I doing something wrong? I didn't seem to have the same issue with the nano.
  6. Hi there, I'm responsible for running entry systems for festivals - many gates using 50 scanners each working over wifi. I am concerned that somebody is going to think it's a jolly jape to set up a deauth attack on a gate which would stop our scanners working. When we have 50,000 people waiting to come in, it's very bad news. Can I deploy the tetra to watch for suspicious deauth packets if I suspect that's what happening? At least then I can inform the authorities that's what happening, not just our kit not working. I need the tetra because depending on the environment we are on 2.4 and 5Ghz Cheers
  7. Hi - new to WiFi Pineapple - I need to be able to specify the deauthentication reason code. Can this be done? thanks.
  8. Happy day today - just unboxed my Tetra and got it setup and ran through the "From Recon to PineAP" tutorial. Frowny-face - deauth fails every time. I've tried resetting to factory. I can discover clients, and put their MAC addresses in the filter, add an SSID to PineAP and configured the PineAP daemon per the instructions - and then run deauth in both the Recon page, and via the SiteSurvey module. When I setup the PineAP to "Capture SSIDs to Pool" it does so, and I can subsequently see those SSIDs as available APs in my test devices (Laptop x 2, Phone x 3, Desktop x 1). No matter what I do, I can't seem to deauth any of those devices, regardless of how close or far they are from the TETRA. Nothing is standing out in the debug log. Not sure if it's related, but recon stops if I navigate away from the page, regardless of how much time is left in the recon session... Any suggestions on how I should proceed?
  9. Hi All, I have just started setting up my WiFi Pineapple Nano that I recently purchased. I have upgraded the firmware to 1.1.1 and just started to test the capabilities on my home network. I followed the video WiFi Pineapple Primer - From Recon to PineAP by Darren and i get past all the steps (internet connection, filters etc) when I get to the Deauth option nothing seems to happen. I have tried multiple devices (iPhones, iPads, PC's, MacBooks) I have not managed to deauth one device. I have tried different setups from Kali, Android & Windows to see if I can get something to budge but no luck. I have also noticed when I send multiple requests eventually the PineAP turns off and I have to restart the process. I manually connected a device to the Open AP (I unhide this in the Network Settings) and it will appear on the Client list but I cannot seem to death and then get the SSID's in the Pool to connect the client to the Pineapple. Not sure if its the device or me (I'm pretty sure its something to do with device as I spent a fair few hours testing :). ) Please let me know if you anyone can help on anything I may have missed or I can try out. Thanks
