  1. Every time I watch tutorials about the Wifi Pineapple, I see that the hosts are able to get more information about clients by selecting them in the recon menu by MAC address. But when I hover over the clients in either of my Wifi Pineapples (both Nano and Tetra) the 'No' symbol appears (circle with the diagonal line through it) and does not allow me to select the item. Is this a common issue and is there a fix for this I have factory reset both devices twice already and I am still getting this issue. For further clarification this is the information that is in the help menu for the Wifi Pineapple: Clicking the menu button next to an MAC address shows a menu providing buttons to add or remove the MAC from the PineAP Filter or PineAP Tracking feature. Opening this menu will automatically look up the MAC address in the OUI database if it has been downloaded. In order to download the OUI database, either the WiFi Pineapple or the web browser itself must have internet access. Deauth uses the multiplier to send multiple deauthentication frames to the target Client. A multiplier of 2 is twice as many deauthentication frames as a multiplier of 1. The menu button is disabled when a scan is active (ie. not stopped or paused). Clicking the menu button next to an SSID shows a menu providing buttons to add or remove the SSID from the PineAP Pool or PineAP Filter. Deauth Clients will send deauthentication frames to all associated clients currently recognized by Recon using the multiplier. A multiplier of 2 is twice as many deauthentication frames as a multiplier of 1. etc............... Further information that may or may not be relevant: OS: Windows 10 Version 1803 OS Build 17134.706 and Kali Linux v3.30.2 Browser: Google Chrome Version 74.0.3729.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) and Firefox
  2. I have set up my Tetra for practice and I am using my own network to try to practice some mitm techniques. I am unable to see any clients when I do the Recon scan, I see plenty of networks, but my network doesn't have any of the clients. I am using about 5 laptops, 3 Cell Phones, a couple of Fire Sticks, and a couple of other wireless devices. I want to be able to add these clients to a filter so I can practice getting in between them and deauth-ing. Any help would be appreciated, and if you would like specific screenshots let me know. Thanks! Michael
  3. WifiPine No Clients Guys, I'm not so fond of being a noob again but with No Clients I am definitely not going to go far with my adorable little nano tactical. Read the booklet as it was a good into to the underlying tech involved. Following the basic outline on intro video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHnQwTCKe2o). Reinstalled and rebooted using the Net interface so 2.02 seems to be working fine. Getting loads of SSID's in the pool but just not a single client to date. I must be doing something really basic wrong. tHowever, most of the MAC's that I've added to the filter never give me the option to Deauthorize. The few that do only do so on open, no security, networks. I deauth 5-10 times and nothing happens. Nothing shows up on Clients from the main dashboard. If you guys need some screenshots just let me know. Any ideas would be appreciated.
  4. I have a WiFi network that I connect to using my AD credentials. This means I need to use a username and password combination instead of just a password. Is it possible to connect the pineapple to that network using the client mode (or on SSH terminal)? Client mode GUI doesn't allow me to connect using a username
  5. Hey folks, i searched the Forum, but found nothing really helpful to my issue, so I decided to start my own thread. Recieved my NANO yesterday and most of the things work fine. Just the client mode wont work with the delivered wifi dongle. It doesnt show up my router or my hotspot from android tablet if i scan with wlan2. Even if the nano lies in front of it. Tried it with a TP-Link and it works fine. But i really dont want to stick that white bulky thing into the pineapple while its in the elite bag. Hows that looking? Actual setup: Factory resetted NANO with elite antennas. OS 1.1.3 installed. only module installed is DWall The included wifi dongle is plugged in. I scan with wlan1 and find all the APs sorrounding me.But I want to use the PineAP, so I scan with wlan2. Most of the time it finds no single AP. Any ideas how to fix this?
  6. I was planning to do a presentation about The Hidden Dangers of Public Wi-FI So I bought the nano and set everything so I can proof the point BUT Unless you come up with something practical, it was just a waste of time and money. - Browsers alert about issues with SSLstrip, so… no credentials from any social media website or email sites - No data from phone apps, since most of then use SSL. And nobody use the browser to use facebook from the phone Besides of getting the mac address, what other information can you get from the clients connected to the nano? using what module? Something practical, something that makes the user aware that join to unknown wifi routers could be dangerous…. just providing the mac address is worthless for the regular user, they just don’t care BTW 99% of the time the clients doesn’t have internet i reset the nano 10000 times, change with a different usb wlan, etc etc
  7. I wonder if I can get into the pineapple nano nesesidad your settings without cable and without this connected to interneth , if possible as I do from android browser which is the ip a tutorial step by step to get it took 5 days and not on trying achieved thanks
  8. Maybe someone can share where to find the storage for WiFi Client Mode ssids and associated preshared keys *** no luck here grep -rnw '/' -e "psk" ...but found in plain text: /dev/mtdblock5:6947024:*mixed-psk▒1+tki)L▒.[PINEAPPLE ROOT WEB INTERFACE ACCESS PASS]' *** no luck here Found from the /etc/pineapple/ path then ran sqlite> .open ssid_list.db tried to select * from ssid_list; which yields nothing for me cause I haven't been been adding any to the filter lists I suppose. *** some success here Found from the /etc/config/wireless file held config wifi-iface option device 'radio1' option ifname 'wlan1' option mode 'sta' option key '[THE CURRENT KEY]' option network 'wwan' option ssid '[TO MY CURRENT GATEWAY SSID]' option encryption 'psk2+ccmp+tkip' BUT, I seem to remember these devices keeping the credentials for multiple gateway APs for WiFi Client Mode without having to retype them although the I believe you would need to be either out of range of a previously connected AP for it to connect automatically to the another previous AP that is in range....at worst you would need to restart the pineapple and it would remember the the other AP. My question is: Where does the pineapple store the rest of these ssid's and keys that are not in use? This way when I upgrade I don't have to revisit APs find/remember and fill out credentials every time but instead just copy and paste them to the correct file(s) over ssh or whatever.
