  1. Hi there! A couple of weeks ago i bought a Wifi Pineapple Nano. I did not really have time to play around with it when i recieved it. Becouse of school.. :( Now it's time for me to use my Pineapple to do some great hacking! But when i wanted to test out if the Open AP what working. It was doing wierd stuff. I tried to connect to the AP from my phone (Samsung Galxy S6) And it did not connect to the AP (I thought my phone had blocked it for some reason) I thought that was weird so i tried to connect to the AP from my Chromebook And that did not work either. So i thought that the problem was with Google and or Android. So i tried it on my Windows Desktop (with wifi adapter) and that did not work either... So i tried loading a VM running kali to see if it whould work on kali. on kali it did work but after a second it whould just disconnect. i tried to reset the device 2x and that did not solve anything. Does anyone have suggestions on why this problem keeps happening.
  2. Hello friends, I'm having a new issue when connecting to the open AP. I can connect to Management AP without issues but when I try to connect to open AP, I get "authentication Problem" on my phone, tablet, laptop, pc ..etc any device I tried. It doesn't connect all at all. I RTFM'd but had no luck :/ I seem to be missing something simple tho Steps taken: - reset the pineapple to default - no mac filtering in place - allowed association - latest firmware installed = results can't connect to open AP. any help would be appreciated.
  3. Is there a way using the WiFi Pineapple Nano to find out what APs a targets device has in it's previously connected wifi list? Phones, I would guess, have many APs in it's memory that they have previously connected too and are constantly on the look out for. It would be handy to know what they were so that I may create a clone of that AP to get the target device to connect too. Thanks for any help Tim
  4. Hey folks, i searched the Forum, but found nothing really helpful to my issue, so I decided to start my own thread. Recieved my NANO yesterday and most of the things work fine. Just the client mode wont work with the delivered wifi dongle. It doesnt show up my router or my hotspot from android tablet if i scan with wlan2. Even if the nano lies in front of it. Tried it with a TP-Link and it works fine. But i really dont want to stick that white bulky thing into the pineapple while its in the elite bag. Hows that looking? Actual setup: Factory resetted NANO with elite antennas. OS 1.1.3 installed. only module installed is DWall The included wifi dongle is plugged in. I scan with wlan1 and find all the APs sorrounding me.But I want to use the PineAP, so I scan with wlan2. Most of the time it finds no single AP. Any ideas how to fix this?
  5. Setup: Pick known client (my mobile) connected to known AP (my WiFi router). Add known client to client filter "Allow mode" for Mac. In PineAP: Allow associations Log probes Log associations Broadcast SSID pool (which contains known AP name) Set both Broadcasts to "Aggressive" Save I then go back to Recon view, and Deauth the known client. I can see my mobile disconnecting from the WiFi - but it then reconnects to the original WiFi, not the Pineapple version (both are listed as options). Am I doing something wrong? Thanks A.
  6. Can someone tell me how to give a totally free access without password (the AP Key) to the Fake Wifi Access Point created by the Pineapple? In the Networking Tab @ http://172.16.42.1:1471/#/modules/Networking , I have no other choice than to give a password as if the "Management AP Key" is left blank, it doesn't work and the configuration can't be saved. Thank you for your help.
  7. hello Hak5 forums users, I'm currently using dual TP-link USB wireless cards for airbase-ng rouge karma AP / airodump-ng / MDK3 with BRCTL and dhclient to enable internet access for network auditing. I've been looking into a wifi pineapple as an upgrade to this eclectic setup. As I understand from defcon talks / wiki, the Nano enables an access point after setup for administration over wifi. If I am exclusively using the Nano using the USB ethernet connection to my laptop, can the administration AP be disabled? What interface of the two onboard radios does that AP run on? Does the Nano feature / offer USB 3.0 for operation? Thanks , dr_deconstruct
