  1. Hi, Im having troubles getting my 3G dongle only after a FW upgrade to 1.1.0 and 1.1.1. Luckily i own 2 Pineapple MKV's, so i am able to run one on 1.0.4 where my dongle connects perfectly. My problem seems to be almost the same as : https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/32163-zte-mf112-3g-dongle/ I own several Huawei dongles, the ones im using for the MK5 are "E3276s" dongles wich present them selves as12d1:1506. Output for LSUSB: Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 001 Device 002: ID 058f:6254 Alcor Micro Corp. Multi Flash Reader On the 1.04 USB_modeswitch seems to be using a "generic converter" and the dongle is mounted to ttyUSB0 and boots perfectly. on my MK5's i never had to do anything to get the dongles running... 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 83.000000] usb 1-1.2: generic converter now attached to ttyUSB0 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 82.990000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.0: generic converter detected 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 82.990000] USB Serial support registered for generic 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 82.980000] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 82.960000] usbcore: deregistering interface driver usbserial 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 82.950000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.0: device disconnected 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 82.950000] USB Serial deregistering driver generic 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 82.940000] generic ttyUSB0: generic converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 82.930000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.1: device disconnected 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 82.930000] generic ttyUSB1: generic converter now disconnected from ttyUSB1 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.err kernel: [ 83.300000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.2: Generic device with no bulk out, not allowed. 01:01:23 Pineapple kern.err kernel: [ 83.020000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.2: Generic device with no bulk out, not allowed. 01:01:22 Pineapple user.notice usb-modeswitch: 1-1.2:1.3: Manufacturer=HUAWEI_Technology Product=HUAWEI_Mobile Serial=? After the upgrade to 1.1.0 and 1.1.1 the device is no longer modeswitching. Its doing nothing basicly: 01:00:42 Pineapple user.notice usb-modeswitch: 1-1.2:1.0: Manufacturer=HUAWEI_Technology Product=HUAWEI_Mobile Serial=? I created a 12d1:1506 file and tried various combinations witch i tried from diffent files close to the 1506 product. such as: TargetVendor= 0x12d1 TargetProductList="1001,1406,140b,140c,1412,141b,1433,1436,14ac,1506" MessageContent="55534243123456780000000000000011062000000100000000000000000000" etc etc. Also tried huaweumode =0 /1 and other combinations. When i place the 12d1:1506 file i get a log messages saying "Using 12d1:1506 for modeswithing, but after that the switching seemingly failed. It seems that after upgrading to 1.1.0 my dongle is no longe switched by a generic "switcher??". My 1.04 is running perfecly. Can anyone assist me with this problem, provie a workiing modewitch file or help me in getting my dongle to switch using the generic converter again. Thanks very very VERY much!
