  1. On the older Tetra i could use my Sierra Aircard modem out of the box. When I made a SSH connection to the Pineapple Tetra and ran ifconfig -a then i could see it as wwan0 I only had to vi /etc/config/network option ifname 'wwan0' # add this line under wwan and vi /etc/config/dhcp option ignore 0 # set this under under wan Then it worked. But here on the Pineapple VII i cant see the card What opkg update && opkg install xxx do i need ? I cant find kmod-usb-net-sierrawireless kmod-usb-serial-wwan kmod-usb-serial-sierrawireless kmod-usb-serial-qualcomm or anything that would make the card work ( like opkg list|grep -i sierra ) Any hints ?
  2. This is "Modem Manager", a module created to allow connection to the internet via 3G and 4G USB modems. How to use this module: This module currently only works for modems with Serial Interfaces and Abstract Control Modems (ACM). You can read about modems with serial interfaces here. Support for modems with NCM and QMI may be added at a later date. It's hard for me to implement this support without these types of modems, so if you have a QMI modem please feel free to test some configurations and share your experience. You may also need to reboot your pineapple after setting up your modem in the module. This is to allow the 'usbserial' kernel module to be loaded with the correct VID:PID of your modem. Version 1.1 is out.
  3. Good Morning Beautiful People! I am looking to use and 3g/4g usb modem for the tetra/nano. I've scrubbed the forums and the only thing I found was a Huawei one thats for outside of the US. I am in New Jersey and I have good coverage with pretty much any carrier in the area I'm just confused on what USB modem I should get that 100% compatible and what carrier. Anybody currently using one? If so what model/carrier? I'm new to this 3g/4g modem game but it would be nice to remotely deploy it. I have thought about buying a cheap phone with a prepaid data plan and just use USB Tether and the Pineapple Connector as well but would really prefer a USB 3g/4g modem. Any help would be fantastic! Thanks!
  4. Hello Everyone, I hope all is well! I bought a wifi pineapple Tetra, but I'd like it to be wireless and not using my network (testing purposes), so does anyone have any success with a 3g or 4g USB Modem/data plan that works for you?
  5. looking for a good prepaid phone or 4g hotspot to tether to the nano
  6. Hi, I just bough a new Netgear Aircard 762S 4G Mobile Hotspot and I can't get it working with my Pineapple Mark V. I though it was the same as the Samsung unit but it's not. How can I add the drivers and get it working with USB tethering as the Samsung unit? Thanks in advance
  7. Has anyone had success to get 4G (Huawei E392) to work with Pineapple V? Looking at the log it only sees the storage part. 8. Alright I have being googling this every way that I can think of, with essentially no tangible results. WiFi Pineapple may not be the correct fit for this purpose but, I'd really like to think that it is; even so the HAK5 crew has got to have this on their radar... So here is my dilemma, I am currently in a position where I am going to need a solid method of monitoring 3g/4g traffic for PAN/CHD; a lot of us are! I have to believe that tons of PEN-TESTer's are out there in the same boat looking for the best case scenario solution for doing so - affordably . With PCI DSS 3.0 on the horizon, this need is going to be huge. I've looked at pwnie express' pwn pad, though it's got my geek levels excited; I haven't seen definitive proof that it is what I am looking for. My thoughts are that one might be able to connect said Huawei USB adapter, to a pineapple Mark V, and with the right module and drivers be able to perform some recon on these freqs... Any ideas?
  9. Hello, does anyone have the configuration parameters to get this bad boy going on a MK5? Also, should it autoconnect once configured? Interface Name: Protocol: Service: Device: APN: Username: Password: Default Route: ppp redial: Peer DNS: DNS: Keepalive: pppd options: Thanks all!
  10. Hi, I'm looking to purchase a 4G LTE USB Modem to use with my pineapple mk4 (firmware 3.0.0), has anyone gotten one to work sucessfully, i searched some posts and it seems the user needs to install a few packges and such, I'm looking for one where i can just plug and play with minimal fuss. Checked this page but doesn't give me a list of Certified USB Modems that work https://github.com/WiFiPineapple/web-interface/wiki/mk4guide3gmodem Looked at the following models: AT&T Beam Sprint Netgear 341U USB Modem Verizon 4G LTE USB Modem UML295 Verizon 4G LTE USB Modem 551L Pantech® 4G LTE Global USB Modem UML290 Does anyone have any recommendations and suggestions for a working solution? Thank you for your help.
  11. G'day guys and gals, I'm new to this forum and I think HAK5 is the best source of IT security related info on YouTube because there's endless information and I've learnt a lot! It's probably been discussed many times on this forum, but here I go anyway because I think it's the right time to ask my question: Is there any way to connect to my ZTE MF91 personal 4G WiFi hosptspot (802.11n/g/b) with the Pineapple Mark IV wirelessly? Basically I want to somehow relay my 4G hotspot through the Pineapple so the internet becoms available without the need for cables and extraneous devices. This would reduce the need for my laptop using ICS. If there is a way to do it, I'm going to buy the Elite Pineapple Mark IV kit sometime over the next few weeks, so excited :) I just think it's great that there's a device out there with a CFW that does all these things. I could certainly add the Mark IV to my pentesting equipment.
